Hello! I'm Andrew, but people call me Burress County. I grew up on a farm in East Tennessee working cattle and riding horses. I have many hobbies, to include gardening, cooking, fishing, hunting, and cars. I am a regular old country boy - a dying breed.
People have told me many times I was born in the wrong decade, and I must say I agree. I am a man of many trades; therefore, my goal for this channel is to share my way of life as well as my interests. I don't want to focus on one single subject. You never know what my next adventure may be.

3rd Annual William Blount High School Car Show - 2023
Join us as we enjoy the 3rd annual William Blount High School "Rev Up The Band" Car Show. This car show benefits the WBHS band and took place November 3, 2023. There were plenty of car and some nice weather. I got caught up in the cars and conversation, so by the time I started recording several cars had already left. There were tons of cars that showed up for the WBHS Band. That shows what a great community we have!

I am sorry for the lack of content lately. I've had so much going on. Biggest of all is my retirement from the USAF. After over 20 years, it's time to hang up the flight suit. A quick first gear punch with ET Street Radial Pro Tires. They immediately broke traction. I was driving around and punched it while in 1st gear. Thanks. Has a Lunati 268/276 @ .050 .660 .680. Changing the valve lash changes the sound like you wouldn't realize.
How are these tires like driving on the street? they're not dot Legal but Didn't know if they rode funny
They aren't bad at all. I have trouble getting traction, thought. Haven't tried using traction compound yet.

@burresscounty you're great thank you!! Did you clean the trailer with acetone ect?
@bmxboi72 when I started this process the trailer had sat outside for a very long time. It was rusty as could be. My Dad and I wire wheeled it and cleaned any spots that had signs of oil with cleaner. Used a leaf blower and broom to get the dust off. Then we used Rustoleum Rusty Metal Primer. We rolled the top and I sprayed the frame and fenders. We let that cure for a couple weeks (wasn't in a hurry). Then we used off the shelf Rustoleum Gloss Black to paint it. I can't remember if we wiped it down with acetone or not. Been over a year and a half ago.

How's your back. Does the thrust hurt it? Still nerve issues?
Compression bothers me (like running). Forward thrust not so much. As long as my spine is not being compressed I'm okay. Bending and twisting also causes discomfort and pain, usually for several days. I have to be very careful of what I do and how I do it.

My sciatica is much better, but it has caused SI joint issues and low back pain.

This is just my personal experience and not medical advice, but I can not run anymore. I also have to be very cautious bending, twisting, etc. No repetitive bending or twisting for sure. Standing or sitting for long periods also causes my pain level to increase. Your experience may be totally different than mine, though. I wish you the best.

It's a Nova that thinks it's a GOAT!

Stock was a pure piece of crap. It had a Chevy Nova cheap body and interior. The motor could of been a chev Olds orbbuivk 350 all low compression gutless has hogs. Tyranny cheapo and small rear end. There was a hatchback that from day 1 leaked like a seive. Of and some got a 307 2 brl and dual exhaust optional as was the 4 speed or 3 speed auto instead of cheap copy power glide. Stock be lucky hit100mph officially said 105 automatic handled lousy, got in mid 80 mph almost 16 sec in 1/4 track
Dad said it was so slow it couldn't get out of its own way.

Comp Cam Part Number 1605-16. What changed the idle sound so much is the valve lash. We changed the valve lash when we put the new rocker arms in.

Do you need a harder ? What was the cure time before you could load anything
You don't have to have a catalyst hardener with rustoleum, but it will definitely make it harder. I was unable to find any in my local area due to shortages. I let the trailer set for 2 to 3 weeks - just didn't need it yet at the time. I let the primer set for 2 weeks as well. Obviously, your environmental conditions with determine your cure time. Good luck! Let us know how it goes.
Did you have to get a regulator, and does the spray pattern do right out of box on that gun?
Minor adjustments will be required. I just watched a UA-cam video. Was easy. I used the built in pressure regulator on my Craftsman air compressor.
Not to bug you again but I wanted to know if you painted the underside of the trailer also. I was thinking of how to turn mine over and paint and re-wire.
I did not. However, I have a lift now and plan to do so soon. If you don't have a lift or a friend who does, you could jack it up and put it on blocks. Let me know what you end up doing! Good luck and be careful if you're crawling under that thing!
@@burresscounty , yes, I’m not gonna crawl under it but maybe hook trailer bed straps around a tree and back up with tractor to lay on side then strap again to tree, paint then slowly let down. Still thinking on it. 😁
Did one gallon paint the whole trailer? Was that a harbor freight spray gun?
I think I ended up using a little over a gallon. I did use a sprayer from Harbor Freight. It did a great job. Paint is holding up well.

These wheels had me hurting for several days, and I even did them over several days to take breaks and rest my back. I have to be mindful of how I position my body as well. Just can't do things like I used to anymore.

What is the ratio for cutting the paint like you did in the beginning I’m wanting to do the exact same thing you did with the same paint and same spray gun matter of fact. Just not sure how to mix or what to mix
