Well well well. Ja nee very well done by Hermien who came to JBay to do a story on sustainable fishing i think and saw surfing for about the first time. I enjoyed it anyway. Wish you would give me those Von Zippers back whoever half inched them..

in 1654 the Govenor of te Cape passed the first "conservation" law and that was that no man should eat more than one half a penguin a day! they were concerned that the dwindling numbers would result in penguins for food been depleted. (ref: Pringle, The Conservationists and the killers) Penguin eggs have been removed in their billions and penguins even used as fuel for boilers as they burned well with a high heat yield due to their fat content........here yet again man interferes and apartheid rules again..........hopefully there is support for a true natural history status documentary on the fate of the penguins and it would be great if this was the trailer. Al to many questions, does taking away the chicks, raising them and releasing without any knowledge of true sustainable success = conservation? Just maybe the great world of NGO has got this wrong. Just maybe the fenses should be brought down and effort putinto a fish breeding project and releasing the fish in the area of the penguins home............ and no I am not a scientist but workable simple solutions I would like to see tested
