Great Holiday Park. I always go there for at least a week. There lodges are great really recommend.❤
@westhamunited67 we've stayed a few times now we nearly bought a caravan there but the fees put us off
@chillingwolf They are high, puts me off as well👍
@westhamunited67 also if you read on the park dean owners page the amount t of issues people are having and the way the fees just double! So I just stick to traveling glad you enjoyed the video though and thank you
Nice video! I was there Saturday and had a great time.
Been a few times we've been at the same place and missed each other, glad u enjoyed the video
Fun fact: that's the whistle used for the Hogwarts Express
@@harrisonofcolorado8886 never knew that I always thought it was 5972 Olton Hall as that's the loco they used for the films, I always thought it was that whistle but makes sense, learn something new but thank you for your kind comment!!!
Waar is dat?
@jeroenverhoek2548 it's next to the the inlet valve shaft for the nevis range hydro scheme normally its 10 feet lower than the bridge but with the sheer amount of rain and water coming off the mountain the torrent is higher than the bridge and flowing down the size of the valve house
Brilliant 🚂🚂🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃
Thank you for the like and comment
Painful moments of trainspotting like:
I compelty agree with you we had it a month ago at nene Valley with tornado a professional photographer just walk up.and stood right in front of the camera bur the guy got a shock as lady wolf was there and she wasn't having any of it.
Great video! I was also at Chester that day.
Baring the weather and the rain was quite a good day, where i was was not crowded which makes a change as quite a few of our videos get ruined by people standing in front of the camera etc. But thank you for your kind comment
What a ....!!
Agreed
I agree, Its not that hard to stand still when filming a train!!!!! But otherwise, beautiful steamy and gorgeous coaches, cool short!!!
@@JWTrainboy thank you very much for your kind comment, and I compelty agree with you,
110% arsehole does not give a dam about anybody else !!!!!!!
I loved The Corridor Carriages still do. And the musky smell.
@Biggles2498 I complelty agree with you you can't beat the old carriages much nicer than the new stuff that's on the mainline, glad you enjoyed this short
Lovely ex Lms black 5
Tha k you for your comment I complelty agree we got quite a bit of footage with all the shunting etc but absolute stunning locomotive
Shell Island is the best for camping, I have camped in that spot in 2022 when it was in the heat wave July 2022 Great video
@Nigelsadventures yep compelty agree with you we where there back in 2022 during the heat wave aswell we spent more days in the mountains during the day as the island was like a furnace, and most people you saw where red like lobsters! But tha k you for your comment and glad you enjoyed the video
@@chillingwolf Are you going to be there for the opening weekend?
@@Nigelsadventures25 yes hopefully all been well
@ I am going to be there booked
What a fantastic sight.
Thank you for your kind comment, at the moment the waverly is having her winter overhaul so great to watch the engines
I had the privilege of riding behind Bahamas at the KWVR during the autumn steam gala. I also remember it at Dinting in its first LMS preservation colours in the 1970s (showing my age now!)
We saw her at the start of the year at the worth valley also
I'm trying to persuade my mum to get me on the Waverley
@stephenmcgurn498 when you do you will.enjoy it well worth it! Make sure u subscribe to the channel as we regular visit various different ships etc
I was there :D

She can swing those fists of steel and no mistake!
Ow yes a mighty engine indeed
It’s called “Valley Farm” because when I was a child in the early 60’s & before that, there was a real working farm there. If you do a search you can find a few vintage photos of Valley Road with it in the background.
Where booked here again next month for my mother-in-law 60th birthday
Amazing
Man that's awesome
Just what a engineer needs,,a slouching assistant, coffee in hand ,paying no attention to anything,,distracting with trivial banter,,,
Could you edit that more boringly.? After 2 and a half minutes still nothing??,,im out!
This was one of our first videos from when we first set the channel up, and since then a considerable amount of money has been spent on camera equipment, editing software and computing power to do, sadly at the time of this video we didn't have the adequate computing equipment that was able to edit the software, so can only apologise you found this boring,
That was FAST!
Hello stranger hope your well and your lovely Jet, and yes was very quick blew me back as when it roared through it blasted through whistle just ad it hit me dead impressive!
@@chillingwolf I'm well. Jet's bonding really well now. He is often featured in my videos and has become quite a star in America, Australia and many other countries around the globe. Not a bad turn around for him from 'unwanted tied to a bench' to world fame. Today's train ride was a trip to Hebden bridge. Like me , he thrives on adventure.
Nice
Thank you very much for watching what part was tour favourite
Hi can you park anywhere on the island to camp
Hi you litcherly just drive around and find the spot you want, there's 3 fields that are no dog fields and yes you can park pretty much all over etc on the main road,
Not the best, Nantcol is better, no scruffs stay there.
@ElDiabloDMS hi what do you mean ? I've been to nantcol but prefer shell, but don't understand about the scruffs part ?
Never seen anyone camping in a suit.
Stayed there several times, one of the best in this country, didn't realise however how large it is, thanks for the tour.
@stephenthroup7194 we've been coming 20 years and still finding hiding areas there's locations we've never had the luck of camping at though
The whistle is the old whistle from New South Wales’ 3801. Whistle from 90s to 2007 I think
No it’s blue Peter’s chime it had since it was restored in the early 80’s , it’s just deepened to sound different than it did back then
@@jayyy3_yt295 I read on a few Facebook groups that the whistle was shipped from Australia
@@MSTV_2025 The whistle comes from the 80’s tho , if you look at old videos of Peter from the early 90’s in all , you’ll see that it was a tone higher , and you can kinda still hear the sound
@@MSTV_2025 ua-cam.com/video/YgBYgJFWAXc/v-deo.htmlsi=JY2ysK-iku5rHAHq for instance
Locomotive services who did the restoration did a very detailed explanation to do with the whistle last week explaining that they modified the whistle so it fitted better as orgionaly to operate it was rope that was ran along the boiler lagging, but now it's been modified and perfectly fitted where it has very interesting
Muito obrigado pelo vídeo! 🇵🇹
Your welcome
The chime whistle sends shivers up my brush!😃
Who’s the idiot shouting
Guy on the opposite platform, when I put all the videos from 2 different cameras together going to edit it out
All that space , it's hard to believe that it gets full sometimes , we normally go on the white rock field if we can .
Yep I complety agree when we first got there it was full, it's a great place to visit we've been coming 20 years multiple times a year and crazy hoe thr place has changed in 20 years! We always try to stick to the harbour side of island been oposite end but has never ended well when the winds come through! But got new air beam tent this year
Great place
@@empiretinting completely agree
A bit of commentary would have been nice. Not sold it mate
Was the whole trip going Astern ;)
Hi no this was when we were leaving the Pier but it was quite a way we went estern before it made the turn for full speed ahead
ua-cam.com/video/Yq6zT6fcHJA/v-deo.htmlsi=mAP91c_HhSo5Z0a6 Full trip video for you hoping to go again this year as now got new cameras etc
Great vid. Been there before. I did a vid many years ago with my brother. I don't think I got to the top as is was cornered off. Plus I remember them steps being so steep. Plus I'm not a fan of heights. The route I took was from the bottom of a small wood up a climb. Then realised there was an easier way to get there.
Yep first day when I found it I went one way then second day when I filmed it I went through the forest to get to it, Yep very steep and narrow in places but got great views we see alot of castles admirably got to film a few we've done in the past with our new 4k cameras,

92203 Black Prince has also been withdrawn at the end of her boiler ticket. At present the only operational 9F is 92134 at the NYMR.
Yes I saw something on rail advent about black prince, hopefully be back in a couple of years, I saw something to do with a 9f that's just been withdrawn due to an mechanical issue and the time left on the boiler ticket it's not feasible to repair, for the amount of time it be back in service,
@@chillingwolf A leak was found in the main internal steam pipe behind the superheater header. With only 6 weeks of revenue service before the boiler ticket expires in May, it simply wasn't cost-effective to repair (even if t could be done in time). It means that we didn't get to say a meaningful farewell to her, and it's going to be some time before she is out again, as she has joined a long queue of locos undergoing overhaul at Weybourne.
Great view you don't see often
So cool❤
Yep an absolute amazing place
