Highly recommend a air hammer for doing shackle Hangers. You can cut the heads of the hot rivets off with a sharp chisel attachment on air hammer. And it’ll assist in pushing rest of hot rivets out of the frame.
Yea, grinding them out was a nightmare, air hammer would have saved a bunch of time. Thanks for watching!
Video footage is meh, can't really tell what you are doing, but Mike definitely need to be replaced gonna do both rear leaf spring hangers, new shackles, and leaf springs and lift blocks for the rear on my 08 super duty next summer, along with front coil spring buckets to replace mine so they are brand new and not rusty, fuckin Michigan roads all that salt, and brine they use kills people's trucks, will be ordering the parts before hand soni have them.

Torque specs?
If I recall correctly 60ftpds on hanger bracket and 120/150ftpds for shackle bolts. The shackle should have the weight of the truck on it when torquing, bracket should be fully tightened before installing shackles. May want to confirm those specs as it was a long time ago so don't quote me! I also used loctite on the hanger bolts.

Yea I needed it for mine, the existing brackets won't fit the universal bumper.

Holysheets what's that bumper made of titanium super seem super light
HAHA, Steel but I wouldn't say its as high of quality as the OEM but I got lightly rear-ended with it on my truck and it barely got dented, only real damage was the passenger side bracket bent, after I hammer it out it should look okay. I got it for like 120 on Advance auto but since I checked recently and I think its like over 200+ now so not as worth it.
How bout a video on some real usage kinda curious thinking of getting one
