    This is historical footage of a badass project, well done mate. I climbed up to a similar vantage point today, and the birds are still there and noisy, and the finished bridge and motorway look fabulous. I also climbed up to the motorway from Cardiff Park in Cannons Creek and stood on the motorway siding. The seal and edging look classy and indestructible, as does the wire rope barrier. Hopefully traffic will be there in a few weeks!

    Another good one from way back in the 90s was the new overbridge at SH1 Newlands interchange to replace traffic lights. That got rid of the nightmare queues in the gorge - heh. Great video - good historical archive footage.

    That's a beautiful video. It seems like riding on the trencher became a kind of rite of passage in your family! I'm sure your grandpa must be very proud. I'm 40 years old and looking to build a trencher for myself. The thought that something so utilitarian might develop such special meaning to my future family is very good motivation! Thank you for sharing this, it's truly special

    3:28 2 tobe de esapament la motorul din fatza , 2 la motorul din spate .. Or fi 2 motoare in fatza , 2 in spate ? Cabina pe mijloc nu permite vizibilitate buna in spate pt ca e blocata de carligul de remorcare . Capota motorului nu e vopsita in negru deci reflecta lumina la sofer

    • @joejaegernz
      @joejaegernz 7 років тому

      "2 exhaust drums for the front engine, 2 for the rear engine. Can there be 2 motors in the front, 2 in the back? The middle cab does not allow good visibility in the rear because it is locked by the towing hook. The engine hood is not painted in black, so it reflects the light on the driver". I don't know enough to answer you. Sorry.

    Thanks for sharing the vid of the old SH1 at the start. I will never drive that route again, unless I have to. That footage was painful to watch, because all of us have been there far too many times. I really cannot say enough good things about the M2PP Expressway. I drove it for the first time on the weekend and am staggered at how fast it is between those two points when you are actually allowed to drive at the speed limit.

    If it had a bell it could be quite early, but with a gong, I would say around 1840 or later. It's a nice piece. The hands might not be original.
