My nephew died and my prayers didn't bring him back. Also I didnt get married or have kids and some missionaries i was translating for pointed out that everyone was saved. I lost my faith for 15 years. I had been a veey sincere dedicated Christian. I made it back and am just happy to be saved .

He has never publicly confessed repented or repented of these things. On the contrary, he shamed and condemned the victims. I have lost all respect for him.

I cannot tell you how many people I know who, after getting ministry from Christian lay counselors, had to then go to PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED CHRISTIAN THERAPISTS to deal with the damage caused PLUS the original issues. There is a reason these professionals go through extensive training. You would not go to your neighbor who is a chef to have heart surgery! He might have some knife skills BUT HE IS NOT A TRAINED HEART SURGEON. For example, people who struggle with porn absolutely need to get help from a CSAT - Certified Sex Addiction Therapist. The partners of those who have been betrayed with porn are experiencing their own deep trauma & need PROFESSIONAL THERAPY specific to trauma bonds, gaslighting that occurs, etc. These people are doing untold harm.

Remnant radio is probably more dangerous than Bethel or Benny Hinn. They claim to be the voice of reason and wisdom in the charismatic movement when they are neither. They openly condemn one bad doctrine or bad teacher while openly condoning another. They condemn the teachings and lifestyle of someone like Benny Hinn while calling him a Christian brother and refusing to admit he is a false teacher. They were completely snowed by Mike Bickle and his cohorts. They promote Heidi Baker. They admit to speaking false prophecies and admit others have prophesied falsely but refuse to call anyone a literal false prophet. Then, they even want to teach others to falsely prophesy as well. No, they are not a voice reason or wisdom. Quite the opposite. They are supremely confused and unqualified to teach or lead in tge church of Jesus Christ.

I’ve been pentecostal for 50 years and I can tell you your statement about charismatics not being in the word is completely false. We are digging deep into the scriptures and are encouraged to read God’s Word every day. And this has been over the course of my lifetime in several states and many churches. Otherwise, I enjoyed your video.

What I don't understand, is why don't churches own worship leaders just write and teach their own songs to their congregation. It would match their theological ideas... It's a simple solution to this issue. If you can play an instrument, can sing, then why not make your own songs?

The church has gone through this before. Clerical necromancy, not just in DnD. It happened in the middle ages.

I wonder how many traditional hymns we would have to stop singing if we gave this much attention to the theology and lifestyles of the people who wrote them. Today most of those writers, and whatever theology they had, are long forgotten and we judge those songs only on their own merit.

For anyone looking into Calvinism, my advice is to run as fast as you can away from these people. They preach a COMPLETELY different Jesus who does not love everyone, did not die for everyone, and does not want everyone to repent and be saved. Their twisted theology comes first above the clear biblical Jesus who loves all, wants all to be saved, and died for all.

When you are being attacked for pursuing your first love, it is personal. When they try to demean it and shame you under their cold systematic theology I can’t help but get angry (try not to sin though). Jesus supernaturally delivered me over 35 years ago from some very serious addictions. It was emotional, personal, powerful, and real and I will NEVER deny nor replace what He has done in my life with some cold systematic unbiblical 5 pt belief system.

I was in Randy Clark and other healing ministries missions. It was great but I do think that shouldnt be the focus. But nice to include it. I defineitly got lost at some point from the teachings. 🎉 I have prayed and miracles happened but .... yeah it didn't end well for me

I dont really care what ypu believe or any other human. Thats how all this started. Yeah. U can believe in the gifts but not focus on it. frankly, I dont know what my pastor believes about it. I feel the spirit in my church but not charismatic. I like old hymns church too

Unfortunately folks like bethel are opening people up to a NEW AGE jesus and false spirit, so we need to test what Jesus, Gospel and Spirit is being presented to us and how do these compare to what the bible about the real Jesus, Gospel and the Holy Spirit.

I was raised charismatic nondenominational. Associated with Bible Temple/Citibible/mfi in Portland, OR. I still believe the gifts are for today, but I've struggled with The Toronto Blessing for 30 years. Like you, it's scary to say something is a counterfeit spirit because that's not something you want to be wrong about. I was in Vineyard churches at the time. Our little church in Tulsa got very weird. I never sensed the presence of the Lord and didn't "receive " anything. I was so grateful that John Wimber wanted to bring some discernment and accountability, and they responded by saying, "Bye." I finally realized that scripture says let ALL things be done in decency and in order. There's the answer. It's not more complicated. Toronto was pandamonium. It was so bizarre. They would point to other revivals in history to justify what could not be found in scripture. I can't say Sola Scriptura and then throw it out when something new and funky happens.

They do not use the definite article "the" when referring to Him! I looked at a dictionary to better understand "the" and found this..." the-used as a function word before a proper name to indicate the distinctive characteristics of a person or thing"... EVERY time I hear someone refer to Him this way I am uncomfortable! Any idea why they do this??

1:23:00 About those "emotional high" and 7/11 songs, I experience I completely disengage, exactly because it is such a trumped up emotional thing. It feels so fake. I just stop singing altogether, either looking around to see what the heck people are doing, or I just start reading my Bible. I feel like the goal is to hypnotize the congregation so they won't even consider the veracity of whatever is being said from the stage (I would hardly call it a pulpit). It's almost as if I am a masochist going to church...

I'm a continuist, but I'm tired of the oentecostal movement, it's getting out if control. I'm kind of alone, because I'm open theist and we are a very small minority.

😢 it's a balance and by prayer and fasting God will show you the right way. All church is good if the follow Jesus Christ and never stray from righteous path. But there are those who will abuse that and negatively leads you down the wrong path. Always prayfor a heart of discernment, let the Holy Spirit shows you the way. Remember Jesus commands us to love everyone, even the ones who hurt us. Pray for them for God to convict their hearts. I pray for us all to repent our sins and to show us to love like Jesus.

Not a major point of the video at all, but the pre-tithe proclamation they make (referenced at around 55:10) is still something they say today. I popped in with some friends on a Sunday morning during a road trip in March to kind of be a "tourist", and we left right after that proclamation when Bill Johnson made an anti-semitic joke to start his sermon. 🙃

Counterfeit Kundalini Spirit instead of the Holy Spirit and then off course some people as you said faking it .

Isn't another danger of Dominionism that the "Apostles" on these mountains of influence are supposed to be at the ready to respond to the prophetic directives from God thru governing 'Prophets' and 'Apostles' in the end times? I believe I read this from C. Peter Wagner. Given how the NAR does it's prophecies, that's pretty scary.

@thewestwoodhome I’m sorry that you didn’t take the opportunity to address the healing issue through scripture. In Mark and Luke it says those who believe in me will do greater things/heal the sick raise the dead drive out demons. It also says in Mark that if you pray and fully believe and do not doubt it will be done for you. There is also no scripture that says this will stop with the death of the apostles. So… it’s of no value to discuss these issues without reference to the scriptures. Personally I don’t see the greater things or people being raised from the dead etc but it doesn’t answer my questions about those that preach this doctrine of miracles. Tell me… in another video you said “Don’t do deliverance ministry” so what is happening when people are screeching and getting sick and then being told they have been delivered from a demon and they feel they have been?? Is it all false? Lastly.. I notice this new trend of addressing The Holy Spirit personally and as “ Holy Spirit” this is not biblical and leads one to pray to the Holy Spirit instead of the Father. Jesus said to pray to the father not the Holy Spirit because the Holy Spirit IS the spirit of the father..that PROCEEDS from the Father. Do people not understand that?

Listening from Australia, my family are very caught up in Bethel , mum has done the on line supernatural school if ministry and has continued involvement with at for 5 or more years, my dear brother is worship leader at his church and is very influenced by Bethel music and also goes to conferences of Kris Vallotten, and the host conferences at their own church with Bethel trained speakers. I’m so sad, but your content I’ve listened to this week has been the absolute best thing. I have actually made some headway with my family over the last year, started off quite volatile but I backed off, prayed and we just talk about issues not directed at Bethel but at general error and I really think this could help shine a light on Bethel teachings for them. The best thing you said on a discussion you were having with the ex-Calvinist, at the end was that charismatics can take challenge as personal attack on their own faith because of it being so based in experience and emotions. An awareness of this will help me be even more compassionate and gentle as I try to engage in iron sharpening iron. These reactions to Bethel are going to so help with the Gaslighting they are engaging in with these rediscovering Bethel videos. Please keep up Gods work, praying for you and your wife and kids.

Ok, in Remnant's defence, one needs to show that when they say they're training in prophecy just like Bethel does, that needs to be backed up. I too am a little suspicious, but, agree in principle that people with gifts can be trained to develop those gifts further.

Why is it that when people have a debate like this they hardly EVER refer to the scriptures that these teachers get their doctrine from. For example.. Wesley and sinless grace. It says in scripture and HE who can keep you from falling. This is what you should do otherwise you’re wasting your opportunity for a proper discussion.
