One Way Out with the ABB and special guest Derek Trucks.
bb on fire! look at him go, coool bass also.👍👍
This from July 28, 1999. Las Vegas.
I like how Stevie took a back seat and let Jimmy shine
Derek probably had a closer sound to Duane than Warren but Dickey was getting a little loosey goosey by this time. The ‘89 reunion show I saw is still the best concert I’ve ever seen, 180 shows in total (born in 70).
Is this from 31 July 1999?
Recognize it?? One of my favs from the ABB. GA sure does it justice. Damn, GA was the best at the blues. Sure do miss GA.
Hello. Can someone give me the line up of this band? Guitar and harmonica. Thanks.

❤️
Thank God for James brown
All praise be to the most High for brother Brown
Those back in the day master of ceremonies introductions are classic!
You never heard his band miss a note! Legend has it that he would fine them a hundred bucks if they did and a hundred bucks was a lot of money back in the day LOL!R.I.P GFOS!
Ladies and Gentlemen of this future here....im now about to travel back in time. To these time of funk music. Dont know when i'll be back again. Lol
Best girl
The band is super tight, JB as always
I wish this lineup could have stayed together longer. I love Warren, but Derek has much more of Duane's sound in him. With Derek, Dickey finally had the right slide player, so he could lay back and just do his own thing. Derek and Dickey complimented themselves in a way that was missing with Dickey and Warren.
Meat spray
Derek looks so young! they all sound great!
I noticed that in the touring schedule, one of the shows is in Atlanta. The last shows Dickey did with the group was in Atlanta. I wonder if this advertisement of the upcoming tour was the last tour ever with Dickey.
jaywhofan he left in 2000.
I know. When was this done?
jaywhofan it was April 5, 1999
This must be close to Dickey's end with the group. In my opinion, he sounded great.
dickie had a lot problems including alcohol and according to Gregg's book, he had a terrible temper (Jekyll and Hyde personality). Towards the end his playing was not up to par and Gregg and the other band members let him go. He was a phenomenal guitar player.
He was never fired but asked to leave due to his being too sauced, showing up late and challenging Gregg on the leadership … with a bit temper … and he was always welcomed back once he got it together. Get Dickey carried lots of anger that gave him that driving edge, born into a family of alcoholics … unresolved anger is usually the outcome. In the end, Dickey wanted and got a financial settlement.

There's a reason James is and always will be titled "the hardest working man in show business"! because he earned it! The people gave him that title. He said you can be Queen, King, Prince or whatever but you've got to earn it! Suggested listening "Say it Live"! on CD! Band so tight it's squeaking! R. Youngblood

Gregg sounds like he had a bit of a sore throat, or his voice was worn out at the time. He sounds hoarse.
