@@jamiepalmer1988 has to be on the cycle to work scheme sadly mate, I can get one at 3k which is a 2023 model. I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews but with the way you’re throwing it down hill I don’t think I’d have any issues myself being a beginner
Yeah I used the cycle to work scheme, amazing if you can get it! The warranty counts for a lot so paying a bit more for the new bike is worth it with these bikes.

Ladybower is up there with having the best tracks, that being said, the climbs to get to the tracks are ruthless! Also shoutout to WH Trails, sick guy for putting in a shift keeping these good to go!

Hi Jamie, stumbled upon this. Thanks for the vid. I'm a pretty confident rider down fast reds and rooty/rocky stuff and fine on small drops but never really been in the jump parks or done jumps, are these jumps rollable or is it a case of needing experience to clear tables etc? Just wondering whether it's worth the trip or I need to learn to clear some tables first?
Not at all mate. Just go for it 👌. Maybe do a sighting lap first to get familiar

Amazing. Never watched an enduro race but understand the basics of what you’re doing. You make it look as scary as I thought it’d be. Just your resp rate alone conveys how hard and constant enduro racing must be. A mix of frantic, slippery and impending stack. Every bit as entertaining as pro downhill. Cracking, cheers for that!
Your bike bike not look up for those berms and tables.
I used to ride llandegla before the trails were built! It was naturally awesome… and then head off round worlds end, Llangollen and the Offas path
Solid effort. I watch the Saturday race and then took part Sunday. It was very wet. Ashamed to have bailed after end of Stage 3, but having another go in 2024.

Any difference in rolling speed with ebike and the none ebike?
Rolling speed very similar to be honest. I don’t think I was any slower on this than my normal ebike and tbh, I was willing to try more things because it wasn’t my bike, it was a rental 🤣🤣. I did notice that it moved around a lot more in the air than the ebike, obvious observation I suppose

Cheers pal. Yeah it’s always worth it but just be prepared for a big day. I did some sections a couple of times and ended up doing about 20 miles with 3000ft of climbing 👊

Just got back into trail riding after a 10 year gap, found out the other day im not as youngbor as fit as i think i am.
Same haha. Ive been doing a lot more pedalling lately with the aim of getting fitter! We'll see how long I can stay motivated for!

What camera and settings are you using Jamie? Footage looks mint on a TV screen🤟
I often change my mind on what I think the best settings are mate but agree that in the right light, these settings are probs the best. I use Gopro mini 11. settings are: Gopro colour saturation, ev comp -1, white balance 4000 Iso min/max 100/3200 Sharpness medium ✌🏼

I’ve only done the adrenaline uplift once and was in the winter with pi$$ing down rain so didn’t enjoy it. I’ll definitely have to give it another go

lovely videos, what camera are you using, the stabilisation is very good in low light.
I use the Gopro Hero 11 mini. I didn't think the low light was actually that good. I cut a lot of the footage out where it got really dark. I usually set the ev comp to -1.0 but for some reason I set it to -0.5. Always set to -1.0 in the future!

I've hired the Specialized Kenevo SL from 'The Bike Shop' in Innerleithen. It cost about £90 for the day. Get in touch with them before hand as I know they get busy.

Ebike Hire Scotland at the Hotel at the Glentress Entrance has great bikes (analog and ebike). Jeek will sort you out with a very nice Cube! The Bike Shop at Inners are also the ones who run the Adrenalin Uplift and they have Specialized bikes for rent too.
Must say, even having ridden in Italy recently, what these trails don't have in length vs the Alps, they more than make up for in terms of tech and fun. One of best places to ride anywhere.
