Flip Coat Scrunch Method // Probably the easiest and quickest no fuss styling method
Such a simple no fuss routine perfect for beginners or if you don't want to spend forever and a day on your hair 😂 Today I was feeling rotten and you may be asking yourself why did I even bother filming? Well, the previous day I did nothing and spent it on the sofa, and today (Sunday) I woke up and decided to be a bit productive and get stuff done. I very quickly realised though that I was feeling worse than I thought, anyone else gaslight themselves when they're ill? Because I sure do 🤣

    Hi love! I really hope you feel better soon! I just need to ask you a question ... What does your natural hair look like if you don't put all those products you use in it and scrunch it? If I leave mine to dry naturally after just shampooing and conditioning it, it dries wavy like a shaggy perm. I don't need to use all the products you use. I guess I just have naturally wavy hair. I am just curious about yours! x

      @suesmith616 hey! Thank you so much 🤞🏻 I filmed this like 2 weeks ago but my cough still won't go away 😫 I used to describe my hair as not wavy but not straight 😂 if I let it dry naturally without any products it definitely dries straighter now because of how long it is I think but not pin straight and a bit frizzy 😂 similar to my airdrying video but no definition😂 I wish I could get it wavy without so much effort 😩😩 x

      @@wavygirljessie ... Hahaha! It only takes me 30 seconds to spray it and afro comb it, then I just leave it to dry which then only takes about 30 mins as I just spray the top layer as the underneath seem to remain wavy. I would class my hair as like having a shaggy perm. It's definitely ready for a cut now as it is dragging a bit! I think I told you in a previous comment that to let it dry naturally from being freshly washed can take 5 or 6 hours. It's great when the sun is out and there is no wind. Only takes about 2 or 3 hours then. I need to dig out my diffuser and give that a go but I bet it will still take about 2 hours and I don't know if I can be bothered to sit all that time! Lol! I don't think I could go to all the trouble you do. I hate products on my freshly washed hair. However I must say your hair looks sensational when you have finished it! x

    Hi Jessie, ... To me hair is a nuisance, Lol! I wish the Government would make it compulsory for everyone to shave their heads! ... Just think how much time our women would have in our lives if we weren't obsessed with having 'perfect hair'?? .... One of my daughters are so lucky and can go to bed with damp hair and wake up with it poker straight in the morning! Us thick curly haired girls don't have it so easy. I just wash and condition my hair with L'oreal Elvive Full Restore which is available at any supermarket and I spray on a leave in conditioner. I find these leave in conditioners hard to find these days and I totally refuse to pay over £5.00 ($6.00) for any hair item! I tend to make my own by adding a bit of conditioner to a spray bottle filled with water. I then just let my hair air dry throughout the day, occasionally combing it through with an afro comb or an extremely wide comb. My hair can still be damp after 5 or 6 hours, sometimes longer! I find 'force drying' like diffusers make it frizzy! I just keep gently combing and spraying gives me the results I kind of need! That is the day I don't go out and do jobs around the house, Lol! xx

      @suesmith616 it would save me so much time I know that much 😂 I've always been in awe of women that pull off being bald 😍 I don't think I could 🤣 I've been meaning to try more supermarket shampoos and conditioners, I'll get some once I try and use up stuff I already have I think 🤭 I think it's the loreal line you're using that I've heard is really good! Your routine sounds lovely and simple! Does it stay wavy/curly when you dry it like that? 😍

    • @suesmith616
      @suesmith616 17 днів тому

      @@wavygirljessie .... Hi there! In answer to your question about my hair staying wavy, then yes, it does. I feel the need to comb my hair with an Afro comb at least 5 or 6 times a day. I have a mid part (or parting as we say in England) and my hair is about 4 inches below my shoulder. Then I just spray it with water and the waves spring up! I don't keep using the conditioning spray because of build up. I just tend to use that on the really frizzy bits which is an annoying 2 inch strip down the left hand side at the back of my head. It dries me mad! Lol! I have naturally wavy hair and so none of this 'plopping' needed. It just naturally dries wavy. It never used to but as I've got older, 64 now, it is getting wavier as the years go on, and thicker too! I thought hair was to get thinner the older you get? I wish mine would! I have also never dyed my hair in my life and have natural mid brown hair with maybe a dozen grey strands. People say I am so lucky but thick hair can be a pain at times. I also now have decided the 'pig tail cut' works best and I get my Husband to just level the middle back bit if it has a little 'v' shape. I hope I haven't bored you or your followers with all I have said. Hugs from Sue x

    I love the way your hair always looks, however, I would love to know what your favourite routine/products are. Every video you seem to be using different products. I know everyone's hair is different, but surely you must have a favourite product range/routine that you would choose above all the other products you are showing your viewers. Also, I have your type of hair and I cannot start my day without putting an Afro comb through it otherwise my scalp does not feel clean. I then just give it a squirt of water or spray conditioner and let it dry naturally. The waves just come back on their own. Looking forward to your reply! xx

      @mariefaulkner1940 thanks! Perhaps I will compare it once I have the bounce curl brushes instead 😊 I didn't know they came out with pink! Maybe I should get one of each colour if I can, not sure if the pink is available in Spain yet 😂 the two gels I used in this video are my faves, can't remember now if they have those ingredients 🤔 I haven't seen the wave line! I'm a bit out of the loop but a bit of a pet peeve of mine is when brands come out with wave lines and assume because it's wavy hair we don't need something with a strong hold 😂

      @@wavygirljessie I’ve tried experimenting with glycerin because I wanted to test to make sure it was that ingredient/humectants. When I use them close to the top of the ingredients, my hair turns into a big fuzz ball. Yes I get that with the wave lines! My peeve is when curly hair lines (my hair is coarse) expect everyone’s hair loves shea butters and heavy oils. Nope not mine! My favorite hard hold gel so far has been deva curl! I also want to try Kenra gel.

      @@wavygirljessie I tried it with amazing results I put 2 spoons and 2 cups but it made way too much. It lasts for a few days maximum in an airtight container. On the hair, it dries just like store bought gel with a really hard casing that needs to be scrunched so it breaks and shaken out so you don't have flakes just like store bought gel. And it really holds! I love it so much. I just wish I knew a way to have it for longer but I heard a spoon of sugar preserves it. Or maybe citrus peels boiled and then use the water of it? I don't know. I'm not too fond of chemical preservatives so those are my only ideas but I didn't try either one yet. Would love if you experiment and see if they help in preserving 🙈 or if I do I'll update you here 😄🥰

      @JC4all_dena ooh I'm really tempted to give it another go! I also love flaxseed gel and I remember when that was gaining popularity I saw people freeze it in ice cube trays and then when they needed it they'd just remove an ice cube and I think leave it defrost while they took a shower or something, perhaps that'd be the easiest way to preserve it?
