No cuando ahi esta MJ 😂
All that celebrating Reggie did was for nothing :(
the most entertaining 3 sport announcers ever to call the game I miss them sorley
It was must see TV. Watched every week. The only way to see the highlights from the other games. Pre- ESPN and the over saturated information we absorb now
IF this was played today, that would've been a push off foul on MIller, smh. haha
If anybody tells me the 90s wasn’t the greatest decade ever I show them this video
Bird’s reaction was so great. He saw seven tenths of a second left. He saw the NBA’s Michael Myers on the other side. He knew it wasn’t over yet
Madden doing Giants games and Marv Albert doing Knicks games... god we had it so good in the 90s. Players today are better shooters and more athletic but who cares! Today's game cannot match this intensity that made such compelling tv. You had to live through it to understand.
That old-school CBS NBA title was far better then, and meant good basketball better than anything that ABC/ESPN ever has done these days.
For me… this was my peak NBA watching. I still care about the Bulls and their spectacular Mediocrity now, but nothing compares to the 90s NBA. I couldn’t get enough back then.
Howard cosell is the greatest of all time of hyping anything up
As much as I enjoyed this game as a Giants fan. Probably my most joyous non-SB game aside from the 90 NFCCG maybe…listening back now and hearing Pat and John makes it all that better. They were a treasure. As a team no one was or will ever be close.
There was less football available on TV then, but it was better.
Wow that is actually a lot better it's not even close
This was the only game scheduled on that day due to the Super Bowl.
Primetime just passed the torch to Bailey. 🔥
The Jets and the Browns playing a dramatic playoff game with everything on the line. Man the 80s were a weird decade.
This game was played on Monday September 19, 1977 as the closer to Week 1 of the new NFL season.
Oh' hurt my feelings really.. you must be a progressive communist!!
NBC knew how to sell NBA as a product, ESPN is so flat and emotionless by comparison.
I remember this opener and this series. Those Knicks games were tough. Great rivalry
He was awesome for his time
0:27
Context: When Reggie hit the 3 score was 96-94 Pacers up. But it was 0.7 seconds left in the game. Bird KNEW it was enough time for MJ to put a shot up to sent it to OT or win it. Luckily MJ missed.
RIP Greg Gumbel
Jordan gets pushed, his man hits the shot, Jordan misses his shot, walks off.....no bitchin........
I had liked those mics , and the blazers they had , at the time...
The 70s era of Monday night football was the best.
What was he fired for?
Racist remarks.
@@Timothy-Lemm Maybe? But the people at CBS call him THE GREEK!! That's not racist???? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
If Only that was the Series
2:01:47, the twin towers make one of their final showings on an NFL broadcast. I know the Jets played at home on Sunday 9/9/01 but I’m not sure if the CBS broadcast showed them or not
The Greek was fired for speaking the truth
In Spades lol
I loved seeing Brian Sipe throwing to Paul Warfield, who came back from the Dophins to finish his NFL career with the Browns.
Poor Giants: I was at the upcoming Ravens@Oakland AFC game, hoping for a Raiders win, but Ny ran into that 34-7 Baltimore buzzsaw in a mere 2 weeks.😢
Thomas admitted Jordan Greatness
I loved these intros back in the day purely for their use of NFL films footage along with the MNF theme.
That might be considered cheating by Reggie Miller but I like that,. It shows you are willing to win by any means necessary. Even Jordan was inspired by it but did it with more finesse in Utah.
Market Square was a different building. The fieldhouse is an amazing building, but MSA had soul. Juice. Chtuzpah. That energy could NOT be matched.
amen , old school
Interesting clip from a nyg game
Jimmy wasn't a racist...he just said stuff that was politically incorrect to bring up.😮
Cosell was the best of all time. The only highlights we had back in the day
RIP John robinson
RIP John Robinson
Sports Commentators are boring today🥱Mr. Cosell was & still is the BEST Commentator that ever lived!🎉😂❤🏈🥊⚾🇺🇸🎆🥇👍
Bulls lovers never talk about this series!!
Why would they, the bulls won the series and the goat won his 6 ring
Thomas was absolutely right about Larry Bird. What a professional and such a cool customer who had been there before. One of the greatest of all time...
Bring this theme back
Howard one minute your Biden trash next your a fantastic player after good play. Fuck Howard
