Yes you can ride it as a loop. You can park at the bottom of the trail and ride up at the trail head but it's a 5 mile climb up a paved trail along side the scenic byway.

The easiest is to shuttle so you can start the trail from the top the trail itself is not all downhill, but the view is amazing the last sectiob is a bit technical with exposure on the left side. I did it alone in the middle of summer LOL 😆

glad you liked it, the more you ride trails that's a bit out of your comfort zone the more you gain skills to ride trails like this but to be honest there are some sections of this trail that is too sketchy for me lol
