EPISODE 17 TRAIL LIST: Lower Monroe Truck Trail. On this episode, I decided to clear my head and ride somewhere I knew I could just cruise and enjoy the sights and sounds - at Lower Monroe Truck Trail in Glendora, CA. This out and back isn't very difficult going down, but it is a long and disheartening climb to the top. It's been a few years since I've been here, and there's a reason why - I ha...

EPISODE 16 TRAIL LIST: Tunnel of Love, Magna Flow, Matco, Ranoa Flow, and Coyote Express. On this ride, I decided to brave the elements and ride some of the best Enduro and XC race trails in the area - I'm talking about Vailocity Bike Park in Temecula, CA. The weather was crazy, as it was a high of 75 degrees Fahrenheit (24 degrees Celsius), which is nice, but with wind speeds of up to 30 MPH (...

EPISODE 15 TRAIL LIST: Ends Crossroads, Pain and Joy, Rooster, Sidewinder, and Coyote. Here we go again - but this time I "try" to take it easy while finding the flow at Marshall Canyon in La Verne, CA. Every now and then I need a break from rowdy trails, which is why I made the trip out for some easy climbs and even easier downhills. But we all know what happens - you get one downhill in and t...

EPISODE 14 TRAIL LIST: 12 Step, Dia, Hole in the Fence, and Full Metal Jacket. On today's episode, I navigate some new (to me) trails while being one of the only riders without any pedal assist at San Clemente Singletracks in San Clemente, CA. I don't mind e-bikes at all, and when I'm old and gray you'll probably see me on one myself, it's just hard to avoid mentioning it when out of the 20 - 2...

I’ll Show You Why it’s The Undisputed MTB Mecca of SoCal
Dude I crashed at the EXACT same spot on JM a few months ago! Those ruts & loose patches are pretty elusive and they're plentiful here... Still love this place, I'm there all the time. Nice riding!
I've been paranoid of that same spot ever since lol. Thanks!
I’ve inadvertently run over a few snakes in all my days, maybe half of them rattlers. None of them were able to react fast enough to bite though. Pay particular attention in spring as that is when rattlers congregate in order to mate. Nice video btw.
I actually live in Orange, ride these trails, and make video games so this was super cool to me! Great job with the video - I'm still working up the courage to do grasshopper and hawk.
Nice! I was working with Unreal Engine 5 for about a year (unrelated to this channel), and that stuff ain't easy! Kudos to you. Hawk is my fave, both trails are great. Once you get the hang of them, you can blast through those, tons of fun
That's just AWESOME!
Living the dream
Was this Hulda Crooks? Looks like a great ride.
Yessir.. love me some Hulda G-Outs
Pain and Joy how is that right now, the last time I rode it about 2 months ago it was very overgrown and I could not see the trail at all.
Hey! Not sure about the current status, but I would bet good money that it is pretty overgrown. I don't know how much maintenance that trail gets since it's so obscure, and with everything growing like crazy right now I bet it's a mess lol if I go back any time soon I'll let you know
Cool concept 🤙🏻what do you edit with?
Thanks! I use DaVinci Resolve
Bike park season coming soon, I’m so stoked
Hell yeah! I'm scratching my neck over here counting the days
Do you ride the Mx or 29 Capra? Looking to buy one currently.
I ride a 29er.. I'm personally not a fan of mullet bikes, but they are proven to be fast and maybe better suited for racing... to each their own.. The new models are looking good, you can't go wrong if you're looking for an afforable, big enduro bike
Are u using a gopro and where is it on u when u ride?
Yes, I use the latest GoPro Hero 12 Black with a chin mount attached to the bottom of my full-face helmet. The chin mounts are 3D printed and designed around specific helmet models, so they fit super snug and flush. I got mine from some guy on Etsy
I love this
Thanks!
Thats a nice trail...Where did u park to get to that trail?
Hey! Most people park near the corner of Barton and Alessandro, usually on the North side of that intersection. This video starts out on the South side of Barton and ends on the North side..
@@dirtberserker cool thank u sir....subbed
Thanks for the sub!
Looking to do a blue run for girl rider and check out the lines. Would you recommend parking at the park to get better access to McTwist? probably multiple runs thru a couple blues for her and McTwist looks chill
@@RyhnoMight That's a tough call.. The trails on the south side of Alessandro are more fun and repeatable (this would be my suggestion FYI), but the trails closest to the park's parking lot are more beginner friendly (with one or two exceptions) but take a while to traverse, and they are less DH-specific. If you're only interested in McTwist, then yes, park at the lot. You could also get to McTwist from Alessandro, but you have to traverse some harder blue trails and do a fair bit of climbing. The top half of Sycamore Canyon can be more XC-like, and the bottom half is more DH-like. I hope that answers your question!
Haha this is so cool dude! More please. New sub here!
Thanks man!
Great stuff. It would be awesome if rides could actually be gamified like this
Thanks! I'm trying to will it into existence, one video at a time... Maybe a Strava companion app is in order
My home trails!
I like the way you edit your videos 🔥
Thanks man! This one was tougher than usual... Those damn timer clocks were harder to setup than they look lol
Got some good runs in! Was just thinking about hitting up Aliso
Thanks! It had been a while for me, so the trails surprised me here and there. 5 Oaks is feeling "worn in", but I kinda like it that way..
What camera do you use
I'm using the latest GoPro Hero 12 Black. It's attached to my full face helmet with a 3D printed mount I bought from some guy on Etsy..
@@dirtberserker ok great it looks amazing
Thanks man! I think it comes down to the better stabilization and using the new HDR color profile, as those are exclusive to this model
thinking about coming here this weekend... first timer.. where should i park/ what trail to take to the top to access these?
Hey! There are a few different places to park, all with their advantages and disadvantages... I prefer to park at the main gate/parking lot off Windes. Pros: very close parking, can ride down the hill back to your car when your done: Cons: Costs $3 weekdays / $5 weekends, and can fill up on busy weekends.. The next best option is to park in the Albertsons parking lot off Chapman and Jamboree. Pros: Free with plenty of parking; Cons: You have to pedal about a mile of flat ground to get to and from the trails. The last option I know of (which I had to use in this video due to creek crossings being too high) is at the Anaheim Hills Elementary School parking lot. Pros: Free and close, Cons: It puts you at the top of the hill away from most trails, but you can warm up and go downhill using Yucca like I did. The best way to wrap your head around Santiago Oaks is to think of it as a collection of trails branching off a big horseshoe shaped ridgeline. If you're at the bottom, you can take Oak trail up to the North side of the horseshoe, or take Mountain Goat trail up to the South side of the horseshoe. I would try to plan out which trails to hit first, as some spit you out farther away from others, and if you're trying to leave you may get stuck farther away than you wished. If you end up in the middle of the park, take Bumble Bee back up to whichever side you choose. The Trailforks app should be your best friend here. The best blue trails are definitely Yucca and Cactus, and the best black trails are Chutes Ridgeline, Grasshopper, Peralta, and Hawk (in order of difficulty IMO). Let me know if you have any more questions - I love making new adventures easier for people
Sub Smashed!!! Awesome Video and love the format, keep them coming!
Thanks man!
Haha so cool! I need to try those trails. I mainly ride Greer and a few others. What software or app do you like to edit your vids? I have been experimenting with a few free ones.
Thanks man! I use DaVinci Resolve to edit and Dashware for the telemetry during the downhills. Resolve is free, but they do have a fancy paid version if you outgrow the free one, but I haven't quite found the need for that just yet
very exciting video
Thanks!
Cool video 🤘🏼
Thanks!
Your vids are next level man, keep them coming.
Thanks, man!
Another great video!
Thanks man!
Worth the wait!! Awesome stuff man!!!
Thanks! I was starting to get upload withdrawals lol
If you keep making videos like this, I'll keep watching them. This is great
Thanks! I've got a fresh one coming out this Friday! Stay tuned ;)
I got ammo gully down to 1:25
Impressive! That's super fast - you may have the KOM on that one.. That's definitely my favorite trail on that side of the park for sure
Super fun edit. Reminds me of a video I made like 10 years ago on one of my channels, used the music from gauntlet for the different levels, but I like this even better. Keep up the good work.
Thanks man! I'll have to check that out, sounds interesting
That local Kaiser Hospital at the end of your trail sees alot of MTB casualities from Greer Ranch... ;)
I bet! Let's hope we never have the privilege to find out first hand what it looks like inside
pay to win lol. I dub in Jetsons sounds in my videos.
LOL that's good. We should call them Elroys from now on ;)
FOR SURE!! Watch out for those Elroys!@@dirtberserker
any tips on where you can hire MTB, I'm staying in Moreno Valley next week coming over from UK. wouldn't mind a blast on some of these trails if I can hire a bike!!!
Right on, welcome to SoCal! I know Incycle and The Path do bike rentals, but they might be too far out from where you'll be. You can try the REI in that area, but they might not do rentals there. Maybe reach out to Cyclery USA or possibly even JensonUSA and see what they can do for you. You may just have to drive out to Incycle in Chino or Rancho Cucamonga, which isnt that far in the grand scheme of things, maybe 20 - 30 miles or so. Good luck!
Leveling up the production value! Well done, brother!
Thanks, man!
Great video!
Thanks!
When does early access release?
Our developers are working tirelessly day and night, aiming for a release date sometime this decade. We are happily taking pre-orders ;) they come with a limited edition skin and 50 d-Bucks
@@dirtberserker thats a deal and a half my friend
🤑🤣
The NPC pit bike rider literally stuck in the mud 😂
LOL he was acting kinda buggy, going the wrong way on the trails... I think he needs a patch
The HUD is sickkk
Thanks!
OK...now this is awesome! Nicely done!!
Thanks man!
I'd buy that for a dollar!
Thanks! Unfortunately, it won't go on sale until next Christmas... 2025
Awesome video! Great production value.
Thanks man! It took quite a while to get this one right
I love the course tracker and compass on the screen! Looks righteous and kickass
Thanks, jabroni! ;)
this looks like fun! short trails suck lol.. I ride in Altadena a lot. Might try this one of these days
Thanks for watching! You'll dig it if you like long, chill rides with great views.. You can also shuttle it if you want. I need to get back out to Altadena soon, been wanting to hit up Sunset Ridge!
@@dirtberserker me too actually! I've ridden sunset ridge a few times but it's been about a year. The only reason I'm putting it off is the climb. I have an Amish stumpy. I ride El prieto a lot instead
Should have gone down mystic instead of MTT
do you think an intermediate rider could do pinball at Hulda crooks?
I think so.. The only thing "Black Diamond" about Pinball is all the exposure and steepness. If you just maintain your speed/momentum and keep your core strong and upright on the G-Outs you should be just fine. Try to hug the walls, as the inside lines are loose and you might wash out on the top of a G-Out. I wouldn't warm up on this one unless you've done it a few times and learned the lines. Good luck - it's a fun one!
alright great i was thinking about warming up on return of the jedi alt then clmbing back up to pinball@@dirtberserker
your channel kept popping in my recommended videos and i thought i was subbed but now i actually subbed!!! love your content and thumbnails!
Thanks man! UA-cam is crazy like that, such a wonderful place to explore lol
This place is awesome! Thank you or sharing. Nice video 🙂We don't have mountains in South Florida so you can imagine... LOL
Thanks for watching! I used to live in Texas, so I know how it is to ride flat land... You gotta make the trip out to the west coast some time!
Can’t imagine what the trail looks like now after the rain 😢 so many land slides on some trails
Great video thanks got to check out this trail soon
Thanks! I haven't heard anything yet, but these are prime conditions for making and fixing up trails, jumps, etc, so we may get some new trail features out of it lol
you should have turned left om Poop out... right is way too easy for you...
I didn't even know there was a left turn there... Thanks for the info!
