Never. Ever. Ever. Fully tighten plastic with a power drill. You will learn the hard way if you don’t take that advice. Just sayin.
Luckily this box isn’t tighten to threaded plastic but epoxied thread insert. I understand your concern though, good to be mindful of the amount of torque you tighten to!
Great video. Does the encoder support backlit buttons?
As long as its a switch that is still only using 2 terminals you should be fine. I would compare the required power to the buttons I used to be sure though.
