I live in New Jersey, near Manhattan. At work, in the stores, in restaurants, people are in general very angry and unhappy, that I knew for a while. The news is always negative, people argue all the time, how did the US achieve 76% happiness is a wonder. Recently, I visited Mexico, Cancun and some surrounding cities 2-3 hours away. I noticed that although Mexicans are lot poorer, they seem to be much more happier than Americans. Mexicans were also more kind, friendly, and caring. So I believe that the IPSOS ranking is about right, although the numbers, I doubt that Mexico is only 81% happy Mexico, and 76% happy the US. The gap should be much larger, at least 10% point or more. Seriously, the US, Americans are unhappy and angry. Oh, and Canadians, more miserable. I had visited that country 7-8 times in the past 10 years, they are in general MORE unhappy than Americans. Even some of their car license plates is creepy. "je me souviens"... omg....
