Summer Sailing

This video is a snapshot of our 2021 Summer Sailing Camp, we have something on the 2022 but the weather was so bad in 2023 and 2024 that we have little or no footage of the sailing camps, hopefully 2025 will make up for it.

I am hoping to document the roads, houses and the people living in Claggan, Ballycroy prior to the striping of the land in the 1920's

First fish....never forgotten 👍
wonderful sight!
Most Mayo people have not seen more than a third of their own county. Should be an annual tour your county week. It's beautiful of course.
Exciting Sailing...well done to all (including Seamus)👍
Fantastic character and skills training for youngsters.
Congratulations...Great formative years sailing tuition, which will last a lifetime.

Slugggggggggggggg
It was a great moment to capture, one of those things, breathtaking at the time!😀
What an amazing place we live in!
the newfie boat lol
If you call Canadians Yanks, can we say the boat landed in England?
Sorry James, I was thinking of Yanks fleeing Trumps America to Canada and then making their way here!, I wasn't calling Canadians Yanks!
Whew! ;)
I have some American friends (mostly grief stricken democrats) and this was just a little light hearted teasing!
I am glad you clarified your meaning, as we Canadians are often thought of as Americans and particularly don't like it...lol But I get where you were coming from with your humour.
Being Irish, we know all about it, people still refer to the British Isles!!!! sorry for misunderstanding
Seamus, can you contact me about the video please: editor@storyful.com Thanks
Where was that in Mayo?
Bellacragher Bay, North of Mulranny, East of Achill, West of Ballycroy! a 10 mile inlet of swell free water
That down haul needs abit of tension
BUSTIN DEM MOVES GO MINI BUTZEE ;)
I remember this!!!! I'mhalf Irish/half Dutch, and spent my primary school days in Ireland.Only I remember the one to make the grape fall would have to eat the grape with their hands behind their backs. While trying you got nudged by the others so your face would get full of flour. Thank you for bringing back a memory long lost. HappyHalloween. Slán
This young seal was about 100m from the sea and seemed to have swam up a river and climbed a steep embankment onto the road, he was determined to get into the roadside drain despite efforts to direct him back to the river (not very strong efforts due to the size of his mouth and those teeth are sharp enough looking when up close) I left him alone after a few minutes in the hope that he knew what he was doing and would head back to the sea, I think he just wanted to check out the sheep in the field near the road !
Great Video
Carrowmore Stables is Unreal :)! Oscar 3
i love Carrowmore Stables!!! its the best!!!
Hope you all enjoyed the experience !
Summer is coming!!!!
Rod, no one feels the cold when sailing a cat!
I must say it does look like fun and I bet you didn't feel the cold. I think I will wait until it gets a bit warmer though................after all I am 54.
If you get here someday, we will stick you on a boat! It's then up to you and your crew to stay on it, we had a few mishaps in this video but it was great fun and we didn't feel the cold!
awwww Oscy!! (Oscar!) <3
awwww! we miss u bobby! :(
It was a rough day and not getting any better, we had 6 miles to get home and didn't want to hang around, this boat was delayed due to a MOB so the safety boat stayed with it as the weather got worse. The boys made it home without capsizing but were cold and very tired. Padraic is a very experienced helm and Matthew was excellent on his first open sea adventure!
That is trippy as fuck
A Moment in Time !
This is one of the few videos that show most of the boats on the water!
You form a pile of flour and place a grape/nut on top, then everyone takes turns to cut away a slice of the flour. The person that causes the grape/nut to fall has to stick their face in the flour!
