    CBT training is way to basic And being allowed to sit on a CBT for life is insane, the A1 license restricts the rider to 125cc which is pointless, it should be upped to 250/300cc to make it worth doing for people who only want smaller capacity, then there should be the unrestricted A, doing away with the A2, only time will tell if any of these plans materialise

    FI light will start flashing at some point if it hasn't already. The throttle body has a sensor which goes bad, you can't do anything apart from swap it out with a used part. 16400-KRJ-792 or xx790 or xx791 About 100GBP used. Also, the starter motor will possibly fail. It will sound like the battery has run out of charge. It's just a straight clunk when you try to start. Again, a straight swap with used parts. About 100GBP used. The H7 bulbs are a pig to change. Mount them first with the pinch wire, then add the 2-prong electrical supply, then the cup. Replace the small running lights with LED W5W from Halfords, and Osram NighBreaker H7 bulbs. Same with number plate and interior. The Tucano Urbano R067x is great. Totally worth it, but the bladders will fail, the plastic is shit. You can't repair them usually, just get a replacement when they fail. A spoiler on the windscreen will make a real difference when it rains, especially if you're 6'4", angle it up so the slipstream goes over your head, you can feel it. If you need to load out on the back seat, RockStraps are great, haven't failed me in 2 years. Michelin CityGrip2 are the best tyres around. They're M&S/3PMS rated too. Year round tyres in any condition, none other like this. Brake pads EBC SFAC388 for front and EBC SFAC415 for rear. Semi-sintered brake pads which are superb for city and long-distnace use. HH sintered are too hard on brake discs and not as reassuring in my view. The EBC Scooter Carbon SCFAC last a really long time. OEM Honda brake pads are crap, I had a loaner brand-new 2023 Forza 125 and the brakes were spongy as hell. Not recommended. Whatever you think the previous mileage is on the drive, replace the rollers and the drive belt sooner rather than later. Go for the OEM Honda blue rollers. And, orignal OEM Honda drive belt. Aftermarket ones are shit, and you won't be able to get top speed. You can feel the eccentric vibrations when the rollers are wearing unevenly. It's just not smooth, minor but you can feel it, and when you notice it it niggles the hell out of you. One hour labour and with parts, about 100GBP all in. Top speed: I get 63mph on a dry warm day with good laminar flow wind on a dual-carriageway. Timed both ways to even out runs. You won't get any faster when it redlines at 10k. It's electronically limited to 10kRPM. Doesn't matter what load you have, that's all it will do. A zero-miles 2023 Forza 125 will do 68mph at redline(calibrated with GPS). 70mph downhill redline. Whatever it says on the speedo, that's inaccurate. Calibrate it properly with a GPS speedometer app, one that uses proper differential computations from the satellite signals to derive spped, not estimate it! 75mph isn't what it says! I wasn't able to get this on a zero-miles brand new 2023 Forza 125. Once you know what a calibraed 20mph, 30mph, 40mph, 50mph, 60mph is, then you can work out what the hard limits are. Never trust the speedo unless it's traffic police! Same fuel efficiency as 2010/2013/2014 S-Wing properly maintained. 100mpg is just light urban use, not mixed use on open highway/urban. The mileometer/odometers are accurate to within 5% or less, these can be trusted. You'll get 150-160 miles on a tank that's been filled slowly until it's overflowing. Once the fuel guage starts moving, you've got a 100 miles countdown, 50 miles at half-full indicated, etc. This is a very reliable method On red, you've got maybe one litre left, maybe 1.5L Go for iridium spark-plugs, cost more but for the long runs you'll appreciate the hotter spark helping the fuel ignite more effectively, and cleaner. Fuel: You'll average 85mpg, don't waste time with E10, you lose 10% of calorific value, 10% loss on fuel efficiency in the fuel. Compared to the extra 10% cost at the pump means you get decent mpg and none of the E10 rubber-rot potential. Why lose 10% and run on junk that's stealing food from our tables. Esso have the best E5, BP aren't bad either. Search UA-cam for which fuels have lowest or zero ethanol, stick with them. E10 is for woke fools who don't realise that it's inefficient to run an engine on crap fuel. Use RedX when you can, before you start using the bike heavily, just over-pour and let it clean the system out. Won't hurt your bike but will give it a nice clean system. Change the air filter. Any half-decent one will do. Make sure you use the right part number, and then paper is fine. Posh reusuable ones add nothing and lose you money for false promises. Oil: Any half-decent 10W40 oil will do, whatever they say about 'special' motorbike oil, it's no applicable to a belt drive as there's no mixing of gears with engine lubricant. Home Bargains 10W40 is fine. My mechanic(works for BMW Motorrad) has no issues with me giving it to him for an oil change. Be absolutely religious about oil changes at set mileage. Don't mess with that, ever. Worth getting the valve clearances checked and adjusted if necessary. Again, peace of mind. On a yearly sevice, get the fluids checked, regardless. All of them, final drive, engine oil, coolant, brakes, forks. Keep a record, of course. Damned useful if stuff goes wrong. If you need a decent scooter mechanic, ask the Brasilian scooterboys, they'll hook you up. HTH PS change the title to the video if you can to include Honda S-Wing FES125AC 2010 so it's searchable on google. Any tips people leave will get picked up. I learned the hard way about these tips I'm leaving, so pass it forward!

      @@MOTO.KRAZEY Ahaha Today I have just ordered original blue Honda Rollers and orginal Honda drive belt. On a speed run today I topped out 61.2mph at 9kRPM, meaning I still have spare revs to use. Knowing what these engines can do this should mean that I've got a potential top speed of maybe 64-65mph, another 5%, factoring in worn out belt and rollers not going to the top of each of their respective ranges. Add in some decent fuel to get max power out of the combustion, and it should prove to be a nice uplift. Tyres at optimal pressure, and all other systems tuned well, I reckon they're superb machines! Really is worth getting all losses reduced wherever you can.

    Riders throughout the whole experience range have accidents. We have lots of doctors with lots of letters after their name but they are often not the best doctors. Young riders, I would recommend getting as much practical experience as possible, become an advanced rider, join a club, buy good gear. It is an apprenticeship you serve before riding and controlling a big bike, learn your road craft. Experience makes us better and always be prepared to learn, no one knows it all. Respect other road users, stay safe and keep others safe.

    They should allow people who got a car license after doing a CBT to drive at least 300cc, driving 125cc to work for 2 years was a pain in the ass. On a 50mph road, I was always overtaken by a car as the bike wasn't fast enough for uphill. So I have upgraded the engine to 150cc, bigger cams and a bit of porting making the bike a bit more fun to drive and keep up with the traffic until I got hit by a car

    The licensing system in the UK is just a government money pit .Experience comes from rideing not from taking endless ''tests'' .If the same system was implemented for car drivers, there would be a public outcry .As it stands it is nothing less than minority discrimination.

  • @ridingwithiceman4683
    @ridingwithiceman4683 9 місяців тому

    if you know the meaning of licence, then you'll know it means asking for permission to do something and giving up your right to do something your allowed to do anyway. you only need a licence if your making money from driving. they put net zero there in your face, to see if people will react. to me this sounds like 'people will own nothing and will be happy'. I've had my cbt since 2016 and gone to bike events that are far, ridden in heavy rain and snow and never had problems. people are always saying going for your full licence will make you a better rider. what more is there to learn by doing your full licence that you wont learn in the 2 years of riding on a cbt. if a cbt aint good enough then why are the government allowing someone with insufficient training on the roads. I've never felt the need to get a bigger bike, ye I would love to have a r6 at some point, but a 125 is good enough if you in London or any other city.

Also if them electric things only go 20 they shouldnt be on the road, i dont even think 50cc shpuld be legal tbh, way too dangerous as they only go 28

    • @robbiepemberton
      @robbiepemberton 8 місяців тому

      That's a good shout. Should have a theory (car or motorcycle) before being able to do a CBT. I honestly think though that the CBT should be more comprehensive then restrictions should ease as you get experience and it can be enforced by only allowing insurers to insure you on a bigger bike after 1 years no claim on the previous category and romove the retesting beurocracy completely.

    In Oz it’s fair and simple 1 theory pass start ya learning for 6 months to the day till you can do your test - let’s say you pass great it’s called RE your allowed right away anything from 125-660 Cc 2 years later just book another test and if you pass that you have your R- unrestricted get what you like Simple and not expensive . But a fair learning stone

    Did my a2 and have a restricted 650 kawasaki versys exact same test lessons and parameters of a A licence holder but somehow 5 HP makes a difference. Fully agree a2 holders should have A licence after 2 years

    They are well short of driving testers so making it less tests for bikes the same as they are doing for car like no towing test etc.

    Time car drivers were treated as badly as bikers. There is no need for all the crap bikers have to put up with by government idiots, it is also a fact that electric cars and motorbikes are a waste of time and money.The truth is that the government are always trying to get rid of motorcycles altogether. I was riding motor bikes from 1970 until 2015 when I gave up driving both cares and bikes due to the amount of idiots on the roads. If bikers were treated fairly you would not have had the M.A.G begin their fight in the '70's. I am not far short of 70yrs of age but I still have bikes in my blood and believe bikers far better road users in general to most motorists.

    this is all a con to accept EV garbage and phase out petrol well sorry i dont buy it and i wont buy into EV stuff is crap and as for 14 year ols riding around on scooters yuuup theres going to be lots of deaths guaranteed , and the cbt bit is just another way of screwing people over and taking cash off the poor nobody now bothers with bikes and there just making it worse nobody still will take up riding guaranteed , should have been one cheap test job done and if you have a car license you should automatically be allowed to ride a bike its that simple.

    Darn it. I live in Florida. Motorcycle insurance not required if you wear a Helmet. Guns are allowed. Concealed carry is allowed without a permit. My e-bike will go 42 MPH if I pedal as fast as I can. In New York City, E-bike speeding is $1800 traffic ticket and confiscation of your bike. 2500 NYC cops quit so far this year. Moving cops from other areas to traffic enforcement. The spice must flow.

    I dont mind people riding on cbts however i dont think they should be allowed to do delivery work on it. London is so dangerous at times with these cbt delivery riders trying to make a quick pound.
