I can remember going up there in the winter of 63 ..it was packed with people sledging down the hill.

not as interesting as when I was a kid with all the old cementwork towers and ruins ...the sea wall and the geography is almost all I recognize

Excellent footage. Was a favourite playground of ours, when we were kids, (over sixty years ago). Lots of fun exploring, inside the fort, & the overgrown areas all around.. Couldn't venture inside very far, as it was pitch black, with dangerous deep shafts here & there. A wonderful playground for us young kids, although, even then, there were some very dubious characters about, in the area.
