Que belleza! The building that reminded you of the ones in Asturias was probably built by Indianos, the Spaniards who emigrated to Cuba and other Hispanic countries in the late 1800s. When they went back to Spain they built mansions, theaters, schools, and brought back other riches. The majority of Indianos were from Asturias and the Canary Islands so some architecture might be similar. You can see similar architecture in Havana.

I'm andalusian and I still did not have the opportunity to go to Setenil, but watching your video I want to go there 😅. I have been in Ronda and Olvera that are towns in that area, and both are ❤. Regards 💪👍💃

Traffic worse in Gijon?¿? Jajaja (Sorry for laugh, but that was the biggest mistake I've heard). Is really worse in Oviedo, In Oviedo if you come from Gijon, Aviles throuth the A-66, try to get into the City is a pain at any time, not only on peak hours. Almost the same happens if you come from the south trought the A-66, seems you still didn't now very well oviedo and it's roundabouts and how bad the traffic is on them. In Gijon you can access well away from peak hours, and even depending on where you come from if you arrive throught AS-I or AS-II the access to the city is veeery easy even in peak hours, then at that time move trough the center is horrible for both cities. Also I for living Old Town is not a Pro or Con, the reason is because for living, you are gonna go to work and then stay at your neighbourhood. You only go for Old Town some times on weekend, then there is no diference in living on one city or another. Cuisine is basically the same, that title for 2024 your mentioned for Oviedo is something every year they give to one City to promote it, not a real title of being the best of something. Gijon was European Capital of Sports in 2016, and there was nothing special done in that time. Demographic is the same for both cities, there is no difference in that point. Cleanliness is also the same, the only difference is that the garbage cointainers in Gijon are outside 24/7, while in Oviedo they are only outside for a time, this is good beaceuse there is more parking space and in some there is less smell, the con is that if you leave for a trip you have to take the garbage the day before, and if you are working at that time you have to ask some neighbourgh the favor to do it for you. For me that is quite anoying.

Was there in Sept 2009. Very cool dunes. And yes there is a gay section of the beach as well as a nude section. Have fun and enjoy. The dunes are beautiful. You'll likely visit the Yumbo Centre if you have not already done so.
