Here you'll find me posting vinyl or CD rips of songs (or whole albums). I tend to stick with things that are out-of-print and/or not available on streaming. I upload them for your enjoyment and to also archive them in a sense.
I'll also sometimes post bootlegs/rarities from The Beach Boys if I feel like it.
Thanks for stopping by!

I've been a four season fan from day one it makes me so sad that a beautiful song like this was never released and a very select few of us get to hear of it let's hope this music lives forever
This is superb! Why oh why wasn't it released soon after it was recorded and given the proper promotion? It's was "hit" material. You know, I've heard from certain people who were present during the Motown recordings that Berry Gordy was focused on Diana Ross' movie career during the period that the Four Seasons were recording for the Motown label. I adore Diana Ross -- she is a legend in her own right. But as a singer. I ask this: Was her cinema career (a weak one) worth throwing the Four Seasons' music of the same time under the bus?
When we were researching back in 2019 and this came over to the UK as a selected/approved track by Bob Gaudio......we were gobsmacked!!!!!
I did the research to show that these songs MAY exist and this one didn't have a Tape defined but it was found by Bob Gaudio and Frankie Valli and is quite magnificent
Pop corn
OMG! I haven’t heard this since we recorded it in Torrence CA
Re-recorded in CA ; original was on Gamble.
I was with the Jagz from 70-74. I was 21 when I started. Thought I died and went to heaven!!! I lead this.
Brilliant voices
One of the best songs ever.
wtf is this
My family has had the 1973 Mistletoe Records LP since new, and that's how I found this version. I almost like it more than his 1957 original.
Ron Altbach - Wikipedia Ronald Steven Altbach (December 24, 1946 - February 21, 2023) was an American keyboardist and songwriter who co-founded French-American rock band King Harvest, and played the Wurlitzer electric piano intro on their single "Dancing in the Moonlight" (1973). He later became a session keyboardist for The Beach Boys and penned songs for the group. Altbach was a member of Celebration, a group led by Beach Boys co-founder Mike Love.
Never commercially released but AMEX bought them up and did the freebie. American Express used it to tempt potential card buyers.
Was given away as a freebie with an American Express promotion.
Get down, Joel! Smokin drums!
Thanks so much! This is such a treat for my ears. Great stuff! Listen deeply.
What a great song. Thanks for posting. King Harvest had talent, and should have had more hits, even though they had the greatest song of the 70's!!
When you listen to this he put everything he could do into it. A gem.
Since 2017, I’ve been looking for this song and now I finally found it! Thank you very much for this upload!
Taken from the lp "Lonely Side of the City," "Walls" was the band's final single release for Acta Records in 1969. It failed to register on Billboard's Hot 100.
Excellent debut album
Fantastic album

Very cool. I think Warren Entner wrote this with Steve Barri?
Like Universal released The Motown Years, All the tracks done on MoWest and Motown should be released. It really is a shame that Berry Gordy ignored great work.
The vocals here are awesome!!!! 💯🎵🎶♥️
Al, both a great singer and songwriter!!! Wrote a few great songs with Brian. Al loved to do the "ooh lady" part in concert. Love the extended "ooh lady" ending here!!!
Never mind the lyrics - great tune and version!!
I simply don't understand - so many masterpieces that never got released!!!! Smile, Lookin' down the coast, We got love, Big Sur (alt version), lots of Dennis's songs....!!! 🤔🤔🤔😔😔😔
Is this the so called Carl's Hot Mix??
Another mix of Peggy Sue?
Love this, especially the loooong sax solo (4:20)...!!!
¡¡¡¡Bravísimo!!!!.... 👍👍👍👌👌👌👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 🌹🌹🌹🌻🌻🌻🌷🌷🌷💐💐💐
This song was composed by Paul Mccartney 👨🏻🎵
Almost sounds like proto They Might be Giants lol I like it.
A thoroughly moving song and a performance of perfection by Mr. Valli.
Never thought I'd be this excited by seventies Motown. A masterpiece could have been comprised of these astonishingly rock-steady songs.
When I started listening to this collection, I kept thinking that each song was better than the one I had just heard - and I'm still wondering when am I going to hit that one song that derails everything, that one song that is just so-so, and it's just not happening. This - and I'm not speaking in hyperbole - this is one of the best, most solid collections I've ever come across. I would have had a panic attack trying to pick one or two to promote as a single because there's simply so much great material here. Frankie and the Four are doing some of their best singing ever.
If I had to choose a song from this album to be a single, we're six songs in and I swear, I'd probably have wanted to release all six that I've heard thus far and tried like heck to make hits of all of them. This one is just sweeping me up in a near-rapturous joy. The longer it plays, the better it gets. Frankie just rides along, almost as if singing from the clouds above. Fantastic.
OK, I was hesitant to listen to a cover of a song that has so much sentimental memories for me. The Stylistics' release always brings up images and feelings of my childhood days of the early seventies, so I'm thinking that I didn't want someone to mess that up - and here we are, something astonishing has been worked: Frankie Vallie and the Four Seasons' version is almost making my eyes well up - because it sounds like "home." It has that same warm, idyllic hues and colors of The Stylistics' original. Even hearing this for the first time tonight, I feel as if this has always been a part of those wonderful days, growing up in my old neighborhood, spending Saturday afternoons in the Summer either in the yard or tagging along with my older brother and his friends. Wow. This is blowing me away.
Wow! This hits right between the eyes. So far, I'm not hearing one dud or uninteresting song among these recordings. Some of the best music that ever came out of Motown.
Man, what a fantastic job that was done with this Mary Wells classic. And Frankie had a lot of competition from other covers of this song done at Motown - The Temptations recorded a nice cover of the song as well, but I actually think Frankie's version is becoming my favorite.
I guess I'm thinking like a fan but for the life of me, I'm hearing this for the first time and thinking this would have been fantastic coming out of the radio in the seventies. It's precisely the type of song that would have had me begging my parents to take me to the department store to buy this- right away! This sounds so radio-ready and radio-friendly: a great chorus, the kind that seems to automatically get everyone singing along in full throat; fantastic upbeat production (check out those uplifting strings on the choruses!) I've said it for years: Motown signed so many artists who could have brought new life to the label in the 70s, but they didn't do anything much with them. The proof is right here in that Frankie Vallli and the Four Seasons moved from Motown in 1974 to Private Stock Records, taking a song recorded AT Motown, which Private Stock turned into a hit: "My Eyes Adored You." Now tell me, how could Motown have wasted an opportunity as big as that?
Dig Dino's bass drum
The last Beach Boys classic?
BEAUTIFUL!!! Frankie’s voice is so versatile and really shows off in this piece!❤
Soulful
Very good version !
Great band
