Thanks so much!! Wow, that's some big praise to live up to, and I'm so glad you like it! I knew going into it that this version wouldn't be for everyone, and that was sort of the point. It's meant to fit more within the storyline of that album of mine rather than being a one-off single. That being said, I'm planning on recording a full SP covers album someday...not a-capella like this, but with some songs more stripped down than the originals, and some even heavier and with more layers than the originals!

As the description states right off the bat, this song is not against Christianity. It is against those who would proclaim themselves to be Christians, then behave in ways that are completely opposite of Christ's teachings. In other words, those who give Christianity a bad name to those outside of the religion. I was raised in the church, but became jaded to it when I realized the hypocritical nature of many in the congregation and of the leaders alike. I live my life in a moral and empathetic way; akin to how I believe Christ would want his followers to act. This song is simply to remind the false Christians of that. I hope this sheds more light on the song and on my position, and I very honestly appreciate your support and your sub! =)

Thanks! This was never meant to take the place of the original by any means; just another way to tell the story. What originally drew me to covering the track like this is that you can almost hear the chords behind the vocal melody even if you've never heard the song. Fascinating...
