Congrats on getting the car running well. Don't forget to give your video a 'Description' to help the UA-cam algorithm find it. I sent my injectors off to James at Mr Injector last week and he told me some interesting things.....He said he wont refurb/flow test injectors unless the customer verifies that they are going back in a working car within 2 weeks. I guess injectors and moving parts and will potentially seize up through lack of use. Maybe that is what happened to your car? Keep the vids coming. Mike

Another comment. The rear hydraulic compensator went on my 280SE and was replaced by a spring! The ride height was a bit high at the back afterwards.

Interesting you talked about alcohol enhanced fuel as we echanged formulations of fuel hose lining in South Africa to allow for this in the 1980's when we had 15% alcohol added. I had a 280SE 2.8 litre at the time. Wish I still kept it .

Very nice, I too have a couple of W108's.. a 1972 280SE 3.5 V8 M116 engine in MB902 light grey blau metallic with Navy Blue MB tex, 4 headrests, electric sunroof & 4 electric windows, with an amazingly genuine 27,000 miles from new with 1 prior Lord owner, who locked it away in 1984 in he's stateley home barn, never to see the light of day until Car & Classic editor Martin Buckley bought it in approx 2011 and partialy restored back to running condition.. I got it fully restored to MOT condition with a bare metal respray as it had issues with rust to the sills & inner rear wheel trunk wells.. also recently bought a 1968 250SE automatic column shift with an upgraded 280SL pagoda engine.. in MB332 Dark Midnight Blue with Black MB tex and 116,000 miles (pagoda engine has done 84,000 miles).. going to upgrade the front seats to ones with headrests (as has none) and fit a pair of Stacked Front headlights as currently has Euro oval lamps, plus fit front & side running lights / indicators and treat it to a stainless steel exhaust. Have lots of spares collected over the years, inc a spare 3.5 engine from a crashed 280SE, lots of stacked headlights, wiper arms, badges, bumpers & wheels
