Ik this old but this might be one of the best sounding ES probably ever
Ayee, I appreciate that my friend! 💪🏽😁💖
Do you have any suggestions for a 2020 Elantra? Been trying to build it for awhile
No worries, you come to the right place : ) I would say a good place to start would be - Intake - Catback Exhaust - Springs - rear sway bar - catch can - Upgraded Lower engine mount bushings - Intercooler and down pipe if you have a turbo - Then a tune N75 Motorsports website would be an excellent place to start looking for parts n75motorsports.ca/collections/elantra-gt-sport-n-line Hope this helps!
Where did u get that n line grill and front lip bro?
Hey bro, yes sir, I got my M&S grill from uniqperformance website. The eN logo is custom made by my Dad : )
You’re Elantra is dope man
Ayee, appreciate ya brother 😎🔥
i have a 2013 Hyundai Elantra, i want to mod the muffler any advice or recommendations on what to get?
Nice! I definitely recommend an intake, cat back exhaust, shocks and springs. Should give it a nice power increase with some good handling
@@emans2475 Thank You!
I have 18s on mine plus tint
Nice! I was thinking about going 18s but decided to save the bit of extra weight. 18s do look good though
Quick question for you? What mods do you have in your car? I own a Elantra Sport 2020 DCT and What I've done to the car is: EBCS Electronic Boost Control Solenoid (N75 Motorsports) BOV Solenoid (N75 Motorsports) AV6 BOV (SXTH Element) Carbon Fiber Intake box version (SXTH Element) NGK Spark Plugs heat range 9 (N75 Motorsports) Catted Downpipe (SXTH) AFE Power BladeRunner Chargepipes (cold and hot pipe upgrades) Intercooler (SXTH) Stage 1 TCU Tune (SXTH) Megan Racing Axle-Back Exhaust Velossa Tech Big Mouth Intake Midpipe upgrade with resonator and catalytic converter deletes (Xforce) MSD Coils soon to get ECU tuned by N75 Motorsports and yeah right now with SXTH stage 1 tune but yeah I think with my mods I could get the max of my car what do you think? By the way your pops and bangs tune is insane!!
Nice brother! Definitely a good set of mods, and here's my list : ) EK1 Pro Sxth Cold Air Intake Greddy FV BOV recirculated Intake and Exhaust VVT Quantum Solenoids Pierce Motorsports High Flow Catted Downpipe 2.5-inch dual straight-through exhaust Wagner Boost Solenoid Wagner BOV Solenoid Wanger front mount Intercooler MSD coil packs HKS 45MXLs Spark Plugs Sxth Hot Pipe Upgrade Tork Motorsports Cold Pipe Boomba Racing Throttle body and Intake Manifold spacer 5w-40 Oil N75 ECUTune Stage 3+++ N75 Stage 2 TCU tune Good choice on the tuner as well; honestly, with your mods, you should be able to get a really good amount of power-easily 230 to 240 hp, possibly even more on 93. Appreciate that feedback, too, bro!!
You should not use a toque wrench to remove plugs .
No dielectric grease on the boot?
I quit after you used a torque wrench to break the spark plugs loose. Torque wrenches are meant to tighten only.
Ok, I appreciate the feedback, fortunately it's been working well for me. Thanks for stopping by the channel : )
@@emans2475lol bro it throws off your torque accuracy when you need that to tighten bolts to spec is what he is saying. Takes a minute to grab a different ratchet
Lol alright, I understand. I'll do that next time. Thanks for breaking it down bro : )
take the n badge off
I appreciate the feedback; I think I'll keep it on tho, have a blessed day and thanks for checking out the vid : )
What’s the info on the rear defuser? Nice ES by the way!
Appreciate it bro! Oh yes sir, it's the stock diffuser, I just traced the right side with a piece of card board. Next, tapped up the left side with masking tape, measured and traced with the cardboard cutout. Then a buddy of mine helped me Dremel the sides to match
Hey is there any help with p2261 code
Hmm, are you running an aftermarket blow off valve? If so, it maybe that it needs to be recirculated back into the intake
@@emans2475 at the moment everything is stock
Hmm, that is quite odd, it could be the stock bov solenoid. I highly recommend joining the Elantra Sport Facebook page too. We can help troubleshoot there also : )
What kinda grill is that?
Yes sir, it's an M&S grille, definitely helped with cooling as well : )
Curious about the N badges, is it just a joke? Coming from someone who owns an Elantra N, it doesn't bother me or anything, but when I owned a base model 10th gen Civic and was active in that community, putting "Type R" badges on a Civic Si or a base Civic was seen as blasphemy. Maybe it's not the same in the KDM/Hyundai world, I'm curious to know.
Same engine, Hyundai just hadn't realeased the “nline” spec yet
@@ashtonfricton8314 No, I own an Elantra N. It has a 2.0 liter turbo engine that outputs 276 horsepower stock. The N-Line is a lower trim that comes with the same 1.6 liter turbo engine that we see in the video, which puts out 200 horsepower stock. On top of that, the Elantra N has a stiffer chassis, adaptive suspension, adaptive steering, an active exhaust, an electronic limited slip differential, big brakes, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, and other performance oriented features that make it great for track driving. The N is a sports car, and it gets that N badge. The N-line is more like a sporty commuter car, it gets an "N-Line" badge instead, not the N that we see in this video.
@@dominicg2456 holy shit u must have been excited to fucking argue w someone. But either way I thought it was an N-line badge not N, but at this point when he has it modded this much it practically is an N and probably makes close to the same power
@@ashtonfricton8314 I don't know why you think I was excited to argue, I was just informing you that you were wrong about the N being the same as the N-Line. It seems like you don't know what the N is. No amount of mods to the base Elantra can allow it to handle as well as the N. The N has an actual limited slip differential, a stiffer chassis, and a better transmission. The N-line 1.6t engine can't make 276 horsepower on the stock turbo, plus the Elantra N doesn't actually make 276 horsepower, it actually sits closer to 300 horsepower in the real world. I think you should do some research into the cars you're talking about, because you're really making yourself look bad here. I'm not sure how getting the badges mixed up has anything to do with your original reply, because if you look at my comment I had already said that: 1. Its an N badge on the car 2. I own an N, not an N-Line So don't try to act like you knew what the Elantra N was in the first place. I'll put it in Honda terms because that's the platform I came from and it's well known by now. The Elantra N is like a Civic Type R. The Elantra N-line/Sport is like a Civic Si. The Si is cool and all, but the Type R is leagues better. Hope this helps you understand the confusion about why there's an N badge on a non-N car.
@@dominicg2456 so it looks like you are extremely bothered by it I'm not gonna lie
Have you installed a amp or what was all those wires for coming off your battery, i want to install a system in my 18Es
Nice! Upgrading the speakers with a nice sub would be awesome. Oh and those wires are from my led Velossa ram intake and meth controller 🎮 lol
What’s a TCU?
Yes sir, it's the Transmission Control Unit, it's like an ECU for your automatic transmission : )
Why did you add an N badge to a non-N Elantra? Does it add 5+ HP? 😂
Haha! Oh yes, is definitely measurable on a Mustang Dyno, +2.75 HP peak, and +.25hp on average 😂
@@emans2475 LMAO Nicccceeee!
2017 Tucson N sport shares the same engine with this elantra and it came with N badge, so why denying it. And mind you elantra sport is faster than Tucson n
@@emans2475 🤣
The elantra sport before 2021 was actually their n line so it is accurate
Nice work brother
Appreciate you brother! 😎👍🏽
Could some of these modifications work on a normal Elantra?
Oh yes, you may have to find tems that can fit your particular model year and engine, but they should work with the normal model as well : )
Awesome video, just curious which grill you have and was it easy to install?
Appreciate that bro! Yes sir, I have the M&S grille, and it was a bit of a task to install lol. I have some old footage of the process, I think that'll be my next video : )
@@emans2475 looks mint man
Thanks bro! She cleans up well 😎 🚙✨
Your coolant is low.
Appreciate that! It looks like it, but it seems the ground was unleveled. Everything checks out in the garage. Thanks again : )
Where did you get the grill air scoop
Oh yes, that's a Velossa Tech LED scoop. Here's a link : ) www.velossatechdesign.com/products/2018-2020-hyundai-elantra-gt-gt-sport-n-line-2017-2020-i30-pd-big-mouth-lit-kit-ram-air-intake-snorkel
Eh odd list. This is more a list of your mods rather than the best mods. In no particular order, I'd argue that the best mods are 1. Grill mod, makes the car look amazing 2. EBCS - helps with the car cutting power and is a requirement for tuning 3. Intake - sounds great and changes engine note 4. Exhaust/dp 5. Definitely a tune, felt amazing after 6. Engine mount bushings, deleted the wheel hop for me 7. Rear sway bar - makes the car handle amazing.
Hmm, excellent list. 7 out of 10 mods is not bad. Fortunately, I have those as well. I may make a video breaking those down more. I appreciate the feedback : )
@@emans2475Love the build and the car looks amazing. I think my comment was a little harsher than I meant to, I'm currently on a bunch of pain killers eating a liquid only dirt so my bad. Generally, just thought it was weird to recommend a specific wheel/tire rather than just listing aftermarket wheels. Also, catch cans are 100% a scam. Sxth charging $300 for dual catch cans is ridiculous. Yes carbon build up is an issue, but you're better off spending the $300 on a walnut blasting halfway into your ownership. Not a single person has ever owned 2 of the same cars, driven them the same way, with an OCC and without and shown the differences. It's completely unscientific. Everyone with an OCC still gets carbon build up, they just say "oh I bet I would have had more without a catch can". A walnut blasting is a real treatment. Biggest disagreement is leaving out the motor mount bushings. That's such an important mod for deleting wheel hop. Still a great build tho, I miss my ES a lot
No worries at all, bro, and I appreciate you! Honestly, you're right. Catch can help a bit, but they aren't the silver bullet. 300 dollars is a lot for some oil separators, lol. I'm running distilled water injection now, and it's helping to keep my intake valves clean and IATs low. Hey, and I pray that whatever you're going through, you are strengthened and encouraged in Jesus' name, Amen
So something to keep in mind regarding these cars. Without a tune the stock ECU will limit to about 10ish HP over Stock as per the forums. You could throw a bunch of upgrades at it, but without the tune it’s pointless. If you do the tune than you have to run on premium gas. Also you forgot about the hot pipe upgrade and BOV. The intake noise can’t be heard unless the hood is open unfortunately. I have a 2018 6 speed.
I heard plenty of intake noise on mine, it was an open box intake though
That's a great point about the tune. Jb4 is also a great alternative if someone wants to avoid touching the ECU. I could hear my intake noise before I got my BOV or hot pipe on mine. But the hot pipe and BOV definitely increased the sound a lot. I appreciate the feedback and thank you for you checking out my video : )
@@shamalabadingdong that’s interesting I have a Takeda intake that comes with its own air box and It sounds great with the hood open but can barely hear it when the hood is closed. 🥲
@@emans2475 my hot pipe just came in. Can’t wait to hear the difference. I appreciate the info. You still need premium with the other option also right?
@@vbad128 run it without the box? The hose from the BOV should do a good enough job. At holding the intake up. I also made a little metal mount to help support the intake. I had a K&N intake on the ES and it was loud. On my EN, I have an afe closed box and it's quiet with the box on. I run that without the box and it's way louder
Great job hubby💙🚙
Thank you Baby 😊💖
Will look cool with tint for sure
lol I definitely need to add that to the list
Needs window tints for sure , that should be mod #1 lol
Haha, yeah, I've been saying I would get that forever, definitely gonna add that to the list lol
@emans2475 definitely makes a huge difference on the look of the car
It was my first mod
Hey! I’ve had my 2017 Elantra sport for over a year now and am just starting to do upgrades on it 😊 Just did the carbon fiber cold intake on it form Sxth, but where did you get the front grill from :D
Nice! A great choice for an intake, and I got this M&S grille from uniqu performance site; here's the link : ) uniqperformance.ca/product/hyundai-elantra-avante-ad-2017-ms-front-grill-unpainted/ It's about 450 USD
flushed fitment will always look so good to me.
Ayee, appreciate ya brother, we try to keep the offset clean 😎🔥
How long have u had this car and what would be ur next car just wanna see what type of cars u like
I've had this car for about 4 years now, and I absolutely love it. The only other car I can see my self upgrading to is the new Interga Type S. Though I would love an auto for dailying
@@emans2475 what would be ur dream garage what brand in specific as if someone were to give you any cars ud like for free which would u choose
Well if free, definitely a mercedes amg a45s hatch or a Volkswagen Tiguan R with an RS3 engine swap
@@emans2475 first time i heard someone say a45s wouldnt u want a bigger engine like a v8 or straight 6 just curious cuz i never heard anyone staying at the 4 cyl options
Ah, honestly I love the turner aspect more so, fun to drive is definitely more of a top priority for me. Don't get me wrong I love the V8 action, but it's something about tuning a quick but fun to drive pocket rocket that speaks me to when carving up the back roads. RS3 is a nasty 5 cly, so one more won't hurt lol
I found an Elantra sport in my area for $10,855 51k miles. Should I jump on it? Only reason why I haven’t yet is from that recall a while ago where the engine randomly shuts off 😅😅
That is a pretty good deal; in the Elantra sports group, I haven't heard about anyone having this issue. I would look at the car fax and have a mechanic look it over before you buy. If everything checks out. It's a great vehicle to own : )
That is not an issue with the Elantra sport lol.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Very great and informative video about car mods! The transitions were also a nice touch! Great job Emans😊
Aww, thanks you so much 😁💖
Rocking my 2018 ES with SXTH axle back exhaust and thinking of putting in a Takeda CAI with the big mouth air scoop. Was wondering if anyone have tried this?
Bro theres an elantra N 💀 this actually sounds so sick but the custom exhaust lowkey sounds better
My 17 way louder than the both, full bolt on big turbo and straight pipe. In scarlet Red with a Ark performance wide body color matched and a UNR spoiler. Things beautiful I love the 17-18

Elantra N is way better obviously but since we humans tend to like and feel for what's cheaper, yall gonna pick cheaper option.
do you know any good exhaust for the 2020 es
Honestly, I recommend a good axel back from Sxth element, x force catback exhaust, or a custom exhaust setup
Hey man can you tell me the exact set up for the ES, type of exhaust and brands and everything cuz I want mine to sound exactly like that. 😭
Yes sir : ) I got a pierce motorsports catted down pipe. 2nd cat delete, 2.5-inch ultra quiet resonator, and two vibrant 1793 bottle resonators, one at each dual exhaust opening
ES overall better and one of sexiest car out there in Hyundai line up. I had option to trade ES for N. I didn't do it. ES will be Signature car in near Future. It's already hard to find in the market.
damn idk ES is special but EN is on another level
I own 2018 4 turbo, looking to mod it real soon
Where did you the the diffuser for the quad ends ?
Oh, I actually traced out that left exit and cut the stock diffuser lol
You didn’t run into issues cutting it ? Like no sensors or anything back there ?
Nope, no sensors, traced out the cut and used a plastic cutting wheel with great results
Aye but don’t sleep on how good the ES sounds stock. What exhaust setup is that tho I never see quad tips
Appreciate bro! It's a pierce high flow cat downpipe, 2nd cat removed and 1 vibrant ultra quiet res, and two vibrant long tube resonators
Elantra sport with the axle back💯💯💯
Ayee appreciate ya sir! 😎👍🏽
I just ordered the axel back from sxth I’m hype
#Daddy😏
i have my 2018 Elantra Sport at 36k miles 👍🏻
At least the 2018 Hyundai is real exhaust sound. 2021 Elantra N engine sounds like a popcorn machine that's been recorded and replayed.
Elantra N stock exhaust way better imo
Nahhh bro, you gotta hear the 2 IRL, the ES sounds better than the EN
