Moving on strikes a chord with so many people of all ages whilst showing positivity amidst sadness and trying times.
“I drew inspiration from my personal experiences in life” says Peter.
Moving on was written at the Dag sheep station in Nundle and recorded in the Diamond Valley studio by Parris Macleod.

Whoah! Peter "Smokie" Dawson was never inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame. Smoky Dawson (ne Herbert Henry Brown) was inducted in 2005. ARIA should know better than to make such a glaring mistake. With due respect to Peter, the original Smoky Dawson started his music career in the 1930s and wanted to be remembered as "Being honest and true to yourself, the main thing, true to yourself. And ah, I think to be remembered as an old friend." Too bad ARIA has forgotten him.
