if I remember correctly, sathabhooshani was replied by a visishtadvaita Swami. the same vaishnava swami was selected by Mahaperiava while rejecting a great advaita scholar from Bengal. This was to discuss a very difficult Advaita philosophy literature called Advaita sidhi

so the shortcomings if seen can be accepted to modify the advaita philosophy

2hours35minutes, it's said that satadhooshani by Swami Desikan was replied. some doubts. 1. if everything is advaita according to the speaker, where is the need to reply? if reply is necessary, advaita philosophy is lost. 2. in advaita brahmam only is true and there is no second thing. advaita says the many forms of the world are because of avidya ie. ignorance to brahmam. 3. is avidya ie ignorance, is it a thing or not? if it's a thing real then advaita which says there is nothing other than brahmam principle will be list. 4. if avidya ie ignorance is not real the same can't afflict brahmam and there will be no world. 5. next if brahmam is affected by avidya ie ignorance, then the greatness of brahmam is lost. 6. how brahmam cures itself of the avidya? some one teaches.? 7. auspicious qualities of brahmam mentioned in Vedas are denied by advaita. there is no form of God be it Sivan or Ambal who are devoid of auspicious qualities. this is preached by advaita teachers. is this not contradiction?

Listening to Periyavas' life and leelai is like eating sugarcane. Shri Govindapuram Balaji Bhagavathar has made this speech on Periyava like eating sugarcane dipped in honey. What a nice compilation touching various aspects of Periyavas' personality and teachings. No words to describe this lecture. As elders say I have no standing to comment on this scholars' lecture, but if atleast one other person will listen to this based on this comment, then I am blessed.
