We were caught hiking about 100 yards from our tents and hail like this (dime sized) began. we ran and got inside the old canvas tents and were OK, but we all had sore spots from being hit. IT REALLY HURTS!

*Legend has it that tent is still battling the hail storm to this very day*

I'd worry about her car, not the tent. The tent is flexible, like a trampoline. Hail just bounces off. Her car has a glass windshield and lots of sheet steel. Ouch.

Now thats how to make an advertisement ladies and gentleman. Id buy that tent cus i know its tough.

My wife and I both have Brindabella 850 -10 to -16 They are actually insane. We use them in Jindabyne for ski season each weekend, each year. Absolutely love our Mont equipment. Just wish more was still made at the shop (not china)

I bought my Telemark (I think) sleeping bag about 40 years ago when all Mont made was sleeping bags. It was then called a mummy bag, tappered towards the feet.
