These humans seem oddly stupid not to take the whole monster city who survived your top paladin, a well established demon lord and his many armies and weapons, and the doom dragon without losses. Even if they didn’t know the scope of that, the fact all that has happened should have them wary of any of it, not fricken stabbing the dragon and thinking they have slain it with their toothpick. Even if it worked, that’s a whole lot of a rank monsters you just pissed off and no mass weapons to take out thousands of individual threats that aren’t the army core, which are far worse.
