Piers Gorge - The epic border between Wisconsin and Michigan [Drone Footage 4K] Wisconsin by Air
Deep in the woods of the north, the Menomonee River cuts through the rocky landscape creating a border between the states of Wisconsin and Michigan. This volcanic rock landscape makes for sheer cliffs, reddish water, and rapids that will fight to drag you into the rushing waters.
Piers Gorge is a popular set of rapids, and state park of Michigan, where you can hike along the Menomonee River and witness the power of the river (from a safe distance). My Dad told me stories about how he would fish at the bottom of the rapids when he was a kid, and loved pointing out landmarks in the video that brought up those memories.

When I left Madison to film this video, it had just snowed. The ground, trees, and houses had a nice, clean layer of snow on it. It looked like it would make for a fantastic day to fly. Once I'd left Madison, I found that all of the snow had either melted or hadn't reached Lodi yet. Regardless, I made my way over and filmed this video.
