Do you need to spend more on a treadmill? Why?
Excellent content, concise and thorough. Matrix should have this information on their website! Thanks.
Hi, is the 7.8 really worth $400 more than the 7.4?
It is certainly a more durable model with better support, bigger motor and bigger max user weight.
Between the Matrix and Lemond, which would last longer ? What goes out eventually on these spin bikes ? .thanks
Both are very good, the Lemond pad may wear out sooner.
How long do you think the cables, pulleys, and bushings would last ? How would you replace the bushings ? .thanks
Thank you for the video! I'm confused between buying Schwinn 411 and Horizon EX59 since they are at the same price mark. Between the two, which one would you recommend ?
Thank you for this! Appreciate the info on walk vs running on these.
With the XR console can you still have the Ifit option? maybe hdmi for external television
I would not be compatible with iFit.
Thank you so much for these informative videos! I really appreciate them.
I'm glad you found them helpful! Thanks for the feedback.
Thank you for the info. I almost just bought 202. Luckily I watched your video before purchase. U saved me money for sure.
Glad I could help! What area are you in?
Hello, for each treadmill when it gives the weight limit does it actually mean that weight is what it holds or does it mean that someone 50 pound slighter then that can run and the impact when running make it 50 pounds heavier?
That is the maximum weight it can hold.
@exerciseequipmentreviewsan711 so im about 325, do you think that the 7.8 can gold up to me walking in it for 1 hour a day?
@@chaboi7 that is a good treadmill for you. Has a 375 capacity.
@exerciseequipmentreviewsan711 thanks, just ordered it.
240p video?
Do they have to be plugged in to use the tension controller ?
Yes.
@@eatthedamnsalad1578 thanks
LOVE my machine; however, can someone/anyone advise how to turn this sucker on without unplugging and replugging? Thank you!
When it shuts down after a workout, you have to unplug then plug back in to start it again?
@@exerciseequipmentreviewsan711 i exit machine and leave "screen" where it is (don't do anything to shut it down); next day, have to unplug/plug back in to get screen going. also, cannot pair my IPod or IPhone to equipment..ugh
@@muttlee1213 reach out to Matrix technical support if you haven't already. They may be able to walk you through a fix.
My a50 does not need to unplug at all. It goes into sleep mode after half an hour after the training. It automatically turns on the next day, shortly after I step on the machine.
I hate this brand. Matrix elliptical machines have little to no resistance. The resistance setting can be set from 1 to 25 and there is little to no difference between the highest setting and the lowest setting. Planet fitness has adopted to use Matrix as their equipment vendor and I absolutely hate it because it was a core port of my workout routine. I ended up joining a different gym that carried the far superior LifeFitness brand after 10 years of being with them.
There are 30 levels of resistance on the 50 models. If you don't feel there is a change you probably need service on that.
@@exerciseequipmentreviewsan711 I have been to multiple gyms all over the US. Many of them carry different models of the Matrix brand. Some of the machines newer and others older. They all had the same issue. After all of those experiences, I think it's safe to say that's just the brand's general design. With that said, Matrix makes pretty good exercise equipment in general. They just completely dropped the ball with making elliptical machines.
i agree. we just got new matrix equipment at my PF gym (Aug 2023) and I using the new elliptical. However, the resistance level increases as my workout goes on , which I DO NOT LIKE . Im having to keep pushing the resistance level panel to keep it at 0% but it keeps increasing and will reach 100% and at that point my knees are so high it feels like Im jumping hurdles. How can the resistance level be set at 0% and stay at 0%. I DONOT like this equipment. Life Fitness equipment far better than this.
Is Matrix A50 XUR better or Octane Q47xi for a 6”2 117kg guy with flat foot and looking for low impact elliptical. Which one is more durable? Thanks
Both have adjustable stride but are very different in how they move. The A50 is probably more durable with a longer warranty. A50 gives more of a climbing feel while the Octane is a walking stride.
For my ex59 I set up the whole workout then as soon as I push start it turns off the machine and I have to unplug it and plug it back in and I’ve already checked all the chords to make sure it’s not coming unplugged but I can’t figure it out can’t find anything about it
When and where did you get it? May need a service call.
I got it figured out just from tinkering with it
Sorry does the 37 Xi needs wires or how does it work?
It does need a power source. Is that what you are asking?
DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE. I bought the ex59 and in six months the display panel went out horizon does not stand behind their products. They only give you a contact number for a $100 an hour repair company that charges more than what You’ll pay for it. Absolute JUNK. Do not buy anything from horizon. You are better off buying a thrift store elliptical. You will probably find the worthless horizon one I dropped off
I use 2 times in LA Fitness I don't like thme at all there are some old Precor EFX in another LA fitness location much better! When I use Prcore I get sweet alot but on Matrix very little .precor has incline
As with so many pieces of equipment, some like one and some like another. There are great programs such as Sprint 8 that will challenge you. Cranking up the resistance and keeping the RPM high will work up a sweat!!
@@exerciseequipmentreviewsan711 Yea, I just used one for first time at my YMCA. They are going to install them. The HIT, 20 minute cycle will push you to your limits. Can't wait for them to be setup with our EGYM bracelet system. Hoping to get things setup on my iPhone or phone apps.
Hi great video. Could you connect the peloton app to the 7.4 ?
You can sync with apps such as peloton and swift
Harganya berapa
What treadmill do you recommend for a 110lb woman to run on at 10 mph for half hour at a time ?
Even with a small person, running sprints like that puts a lot of abuse on a treadmill. The minimum you would want is the Horizon 7.4 and probably going to the 7.8 if not a Matrix.
@@exerciseequipmentreviewsan711 thank you
Is there any way to cure my console? It no longer runs sprint 8 or virtual as it gets frozen. It used to run everything fine, but now it’s slow or freezes. It says no updates are available. Please help.
How long have you had the unit? Have you had a service call on it? It may be under warranty.
On the A50 xer. There is no back button to get out of a lot of screens. I have to turn it off and back on. Pain in the butt !! Please help
There should be a "home" logo in the upper left corner of the screen.
@@exerciseequipmentreviewsan711 It does not show on alot of screens that is my issue.
@@sonyajohnson8284 not sure why that would be. You may want to reach out to Matrix to see if they can trouble shoot for you.
I paid over $1,000 for the TF50 XER in 2020, and that is the slowest most garbage piece of electronics in my house. It's painful to use. My Raspberry Pi has more power. I don't think I'm gonna be in a hurry to go out and buy another Matrix device.
I'm sorry it isn't working for you. There may be an update available for that.
Not true! These are very high quality machines! As good or better then precept!
@@exerciseequipmentreviewsan711 Thanks. It updates over the internet, and it seems like updates fail constantly. I downloaded an update to a thumb drive and updated it manually. It's still just as bad. I'll see if there's a newer model.
Why are the consoles so slow ? We are in 2021 , they are missing Ram.
Are you having a particular issue with it?
@@exerciseequipmentreviewsan711 from what i am hearing on forums the Console on the Matrix is slow and not very responsive . Can you confirm this ? Or Deny this ?
@@SamLGND my suggestion is to try it for yourself. I appreciate the comment however you need to have first hand knowledge. I know I have yet to hear someone have an issue with the console who has actually used one.
@@exerciseequipmentreviewsan711 thank you
@@exerciseequipmentreviewsan711 I can't speak for the XIR or the XUR, but the XER I bought in 2020 is so slow you tap a button and wait 3 seconds to see if it even registered. Then the screen renders, and you can click the next button. When running, it's decent, but overall usability, it's pretty much a $30 Android with no processor or RAM capability.
All Horizon treadmills are suitable for running - T101 has less bells and whistles and not as good in weight capacity vs T202
True to a degree. All horizon treadmills will go the speed to run, however the differences are not in the bells and whistles. The 101 is a much lighter treadmill and is not made to withstand the punishment of regular running.
(Um) is overly used and annoying.
Thanks for the constructive criticism Jacki!
The 2.5 HP you quoted is the peak power and not a useful metric. It's continuous HP - which is the safe normal running limit- is 2.25 CHP. For running, it is estimated > 2.5 CHP is required. This may not be suitable for heavy joggers.
Yes, if you are doing a lot of jogging/running the entry treadmills are not right for you. Need at least the 7.0 and above.
Got the Matrix tf50 xer almost 3 years ago and it really help me live better. Any of these models will greatly help you towards healthy lifestyle. 👍🏽
How Ti activate the IFIT in XUR located in Thailand?
Hello has anyone got this machine ? Does it worth ?
if you require more resistance while using these machines, then you'll waste your money. if your routine is geared more towards fast cardio then it's sufficient for you.
Bought a Matrix MX Ascent Trainer AX50XER two months ago. Is it possible to add the App Kindle Reader to the console.
You cannot add apps to the console.
In india your product are available
Thanks for keeping it straightforward and realistic. Im stuck between the t202 and 7.0 for budget reasons, and I just want to know exactly how much running I can get out of the t202. Im very light (120 pounds) and jog pretty light and slow (about 7-8 mph, 8 minute per mile). I also will probably have my parents who are about 150 walk on it. Will the t202 do the job? Thanks in advance
Even at 120, running puts a lot more punishment on a treadmill. You would save yourself a lot of trouble by at least doing the 7.0, especially if you are going to have a couple more users.
Can you tell me what the difference are bet ween the XIR and the XUR model besides the screen size- how do they differ?
That is really the only difference in the 2.
@@exerciseequipmentreviewsan711 Is the screen a more high definition on the new XUR? Are the speakers any better?
@@dhartman9208 The XUR is new to Matrix. The XIR was their top of line. Same apps and so forth as XIR, just bigger screen surface
Super Helpful Content Brother, thank you.
Thank you!
What treadmill would you recommend for around 1k that you can run on and not worry about ware and tear I know you said the cheaper ones are no good mainly walking 🚶♂️ on
The 7.0 you could do some light running on. If you really don't want to worry about wear and tear you would want to jump to the 7.4.
@@exerciseequipmentreviewsan711 that’s the Horizon 7.4? Okay then I’ll look into that thanks
@@exerciseequipmentreviewsan711 what if I get the 7.8 would that be better? Any other treadmill company’s you recommend? I mean I’m willing to pay 2k now as I’ll put it on a payment plan or is horizon a good company
@@MalinaM1 horizon is certainly a quality company and jumping to the 7.8 is a great option. Bigger motor, more weight overall to stabilize.
@@MalinaM1 what area are you in?
What treadmill will you recommend as I want to run and walk on the treadmill as well looking for a great treadmill for around 1k only or around there. Thanks for your video great insight I want to run and walk anytime any speed and not worry about a crap treadmill :)
can you clarify which consoles have HDMI out.
XUR and XIR have HDMI
Will the xer make the u30 bike with larger range of resistance?
@@glendakay9895 no. The 30 model has a set 20 levels of resistance. The console gives more technology options.
Can I connect a PS4 or Xbox this this?
Looks like you should but no.
The xur has hdmi in
The 101 is a nightmare. Big regrets
It is a very entry level treadmill. Good for light walking. If you run or have multiple users, it probably isn't the one for you.
iIcouldnt do any jogging on the t101 or t202 even if its for 10 minutes out of a 20 minute session 3 times per week?
Those treadmills will certainly do the speed but they aren't made to put up with the higher impact, even for shorter times. Could you take a chance with it? Sure.
Hola Que Precios Tienen Esa Cinta De Correr
7.0 specs out very similar to t303. If you are marathon training you want at least 7.4. Preferably 7.8 for durability
Is t303 good for intense running
The t303 would be good if doing light jogging. The more intense running you do, the more durable treadmill you want. What do you mean by intense?
@@exerciseequipmentreviewsan711 like preparing for half marathon I just don't want to limit myself on speed because I am worried about my treadmill..what do you think about AT 7.0
