KYB 48mm Twin Chamber Fork Re-Valve
Nice video. I like everything about it. Sometimes nothing needs to be said.
Appreciate it! Thanks bro 🙏
I would love to know what ur using for your manifold setup?
When you say forks do u mean off like a forklift?
No these are off a motorcycle lol 😅
Unfortunately the video cut off rather than just showing the ending
lol 😂 Watch some of my other videos and you’ll get the gist!
I think I met you this past weekend at the South alton. I was at thee front gate
Sounds about right, I was there. Good race 👍
Put it in a plastic bag to do the filter, more even coverage and far less waistfull 👍🏻
what the hill
🤨
What a coincidence, I just drowned my bike in 4 feet of mud and had to replace the air filter!
It happens 🤷♂️
I was there earlier in the month, nice flowing track with great sight lines. I'll get my video up sometime next week.
Nice! My favourite area to ride. Let me know next time you’re out this way!
Perfect, untill he used an adjustable spanner..
I know I know 😅, I didn’t have the right size wrench 🤦♂️
Nice work
Thanks!
yo. thanks for this. On the compression valve, above the check plate I wasn't sure whether to reuse the old spring, sleeve and cup washer or use the included sleeve-washer (black top-hat looking spacer) included in the kit. Its very clear in your video you used what's in the kit. I'd like twice if I could. Cheers mate.
These forks now have 20+ hours on them and still feel fantastic. Glad I could help! lol.
Do you find much performance gain in the valves themselves vs just a shim tune? I’ve heard you’re mostly paying for the customized shim stack. Just curious, because I’m considering getting a set for my Beta 200-race KYBs for hard enduro and single track.
Thats a good question. It’s suppose to increase oil flow which allows more tune ability in the stack. I will say anytime I’ve used them it made a massive improvement over stock. But a good shim stack with stock piston is also a good improvement. The gold looks pretty trick though. And Race Tech has probably done more R&D than your local tuner. I do think they are worth the money but they’re not the only option.
thanks for the video - I kinda like the lack of verbal - lets me concentrate on the actions. There is a time for lots of explanation, and a time for a little explanation, but this was very cool too - thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching 🙏
Another "Hey look at me!" video with no useful information. Please stop clogging up UA-cam with this garbage.
Do you need some help fixing your bike? 😅
I quite like this format. His shop is clean, organized and I can tell he’s methodical about his work. Plenty of bros out there making terrible videos with derp-dialog and misleading info.
@@seawardmoto Love the video man. Clean and simple without any garbage audio where you can't hear the useful information anyway !!
its ok to talk every now and then maybe get out into the sunshine as well
Thanks for the input! 😂
That fork cap tool is slick. 🇺🇸👍
It is! Motion Pro makes some of the coolest tools in the game.
How come you put the valves and free piston and tightened it all up without bleeding the air out the cartridge? Thats surly going to cause issues and wont fully return the damping rod on the rebound stroke in my experience
Figured the video was long enough so I edited some parts out. I bled the cartridge before putting it back together lol. Good eye though!
Uhm, yes ASMR. lol
Nice vid
Thanks man 🙏
Cool video man, nice view of your shop 👌
Thanks bro 🙏
Was this gold valves added to KYB?
That is exactly what this is.
How many shim stack options do they give you?....I know you just punch in your weight, ability, etc....was just curious if thry give you a few different or just one I stuck in an ohlins cartridge set that was pretty sweet along with their shock....revolving is lil more involved but not too bad.... Also how did it feel?, yamahas are pretty good from factory
@@kirkdunn1379 they just give you the one shim stack layout, but they’ve been pretty good in my experience! Giving a few options would be cool. The job isn’t too bad as long as you follow the instructions and have good attention to detail. In my bike they feel great! KYB suspension is awesome from the factory but it can always be better. Having a bike properly setup for your size/riding style is 🔥🔥
Its like ASMR for dirt bikers!!
The vibe I was going for 🙏
Механик и у меня особое отношение к железу с детства, все играло красотой, все красиво и окуратно до того момента, когда ты зажал рулевую вилку в тиски юез бампера!!!
Something might be lost in translation but I believe you have an issue with me putting the fork in a vise? The vise has special RaceTech aluminum soft jaws made specifically for this kind of work, and minimum pressure of course! Thanks for watching and the feedback!
Cool
🤙
Quick question since I am not mechanically inclined. Why did you turn the last disc?
Because the service manual told me to! The outer disc aligns with a shallower and off set part of the basket on this bike.
