Carmen basilio an all time great tough as nails ,a great insight documentary about Carmen.
Wtf? The age differences is kinda crazy, 28 year old jose battling against 19 year old Tua.
Dude, David is such a good sport for going out of his way to hug his opponent as well.
the ref saved that spaniard from getting his head gear knocked off his head😂😂
Yes he was getting pummeled for sure
Gil was also always my favorite fight commentator
of all the boxers in the welter weight and middle weight divisions this program certainly confirms my view of who was the most diservering fighter due to his character
I wouldn't mind if tua was my dad
Evander was kinda humble at the same time
Damn even as an amateur, his second did the right thing by stopping the fight
Absolutely brilliant trainer. ❤️❤️❤️❤️...his fight analysis has always been on point. Loved listening to Mr. Clancy commentate.
46:50 THAT kinda wisdom is what makes Gil a fuckin…. No,no,no smh, it’s what makes Gil a MOTHERfuckin legend.
What a LEGIT LEGEND. That word is tossed around a lot nowadays but ol Gil was the definition. On a side note, during the Frazier II clip it looked to me like the ref was gonna let it keep going until, Eddie Futch(at least I think that was him) comes and tells the ref he’s had enough and thank The Lord the ref listened. Great upload 🎊 🎉🎉 fro rills
Yep!
Greatest boxing analyst I have ever seen. A class act
He was the best for sure
Evander holyfield said it himself...David Tua was and is the only boxer that came close to Tyson. Undoubtedly Tua and James toney had the best chins in the business
George Foreman
Holyfield sparred heavily with Tua to prepare for Tyson, the sparring session was explosive!
@@tmt2058Foreman got knocked down by Ali, Tua never got dropped in a Professional match.
He got dropped by monte barrett 1st fight @4tk37
This was Tuas best weight
Absolutely. The lighter the better
He was 201 lol, his best weight in the pros is between 220-226 thats his best performances, like when he went 12 grueling rounds with Ike at 225 thats his best performance, he was just a baby here look at the size difference
@@DaDominicanDawg I think he means something a little different. Tua in the lighter weight was faster, had more output, and had longer combinations. In the pro's he wasn't as quick or had that more extended output. I think that's what Rojai meant when he said this was Tuas best weight
@@blackandwhiteart3790 yeah true i agree he was more game and fluid
@@blackandwhiteart3790 Thats exactly what I meant thanks. I like to believe after Lennox Lewis retired the HW division lost its fire and fighters just stopped caring about proper dieting and training
Loved gils commentory
Liver punches are no joke...
Great video
I had it 118-116 for Peaz. 🥊
judges always give it to the local on close fights
I just saw this for the first time. What a good fight.
Formidable pelea a mi gusta más el maromero Páez superpelea
117-111 b.s. should of been a draw at the least. Paez🥊
Paez under-performed in all aspects of this fight. He looked slow and Lopez beat him to the punch, landing more frequent and solid combinations. I saw it as a one-sided fight for Lopez 117-111.
A Great!
He didn't see my GOD and live to tell about it. Scripture clearly states that, come on now!
Thanks for posting! This was up on another channel years ago but was removed awhile back. I think Clancy is the most outstanding sports color analyst of all time, miles ahead of his peers in boxing
Looked like a draw to me.
yes his commentry was amazing very knowledgable man.
thanks for posting this! he was the best.
Any relation?
@@JohnJohnson-fr5cx yes. he was a great dude.
Hahaha hahaha oh man 11:50 dile que ya se que le ba al otro hahahaha haha classic Maromero
