I don’t think it’s changed necessarily - the original idea of the cartoons in the 1930s was that they were designed to be the opposite of what America saw as “the perfect, normal family” and unfortunately I think that’s still much the same…so a content family, a husband and wife madly in love with each other, kids free to be themselves and a family just unbothered by what other people think of them, is still seen as weird.

I feel ya…I loved Beth so much in the beginning, she had so much potential…but then she just threw everything back in Rio’s face and treated him so badly that it just made me sad from about mid S2 onwards! Shame we didn’t get S5, I felt like maybe she was starting to come back round but I guess we’ll never know! (In my head she did 😄)

She did come back in the end, she was struggling to choose the life she wanted then by end she let Dean leave and Rio came with the new life and Rio struggled to show her she was safe and he would NEVER hurt her or what she loves.. she can have it all it he was basically saying you can boss me around I just want you..

Same! I’m glad someone else has said it, I thought I was the only one 😄 I know on the face of it he was just telling him not to grab the gun, but to my mind I always thought there was some "don't talk about her like that" energy behind it too!
