Half the manual and auto ends to bridge the gap pre much

With the auto diff, it's averaging 1300rpm to 1400 roughly last i recall. It's not too bad for a gtt box which is good 🙌

I believe it was about 40mm, there was a post on the SAU forum that had the measurements I however got a shop to assist with the conversion as I didn't have appropriate tools to finish the job

Glad to hear an answer from someone with heaps of wrx experience! I've probably sunk thousands into the car just to get it to pass roady. At the end of the day, it still needed another few thousand just to keep it on the road without a hitch 😅

Definitely lost on it as i traded it in, buttt the Swift for the price is actually the cheapest near new japanese hot hatch i could find, from new they are $34k aud, I got mine for $24k with 44,000km's on it

if it was an STI he wouldnt have any issues. standard wrx are prone to issues but the sti isnt problematic at all and quite reliable

It's a stock twin turbo system with blow off, so you don't really hear the spool up since the turbos aren't too big, but you do hear the pshhh with the windows open 😄

Depends on what car you want. All the popular JDM enthusiast cars like GTRs, Skylines, Supras, Evos, 180sx's, Silvias, Land Cruisers, etc, not really, prices are similarly (high) anywhere in the world. But for less popular (non-enthusiast) cars like the Honda Jazz/Fit, Toyota Crown, or really any bland econobox, then prices can be quite cheap. For instance Honda Fits can be under 200,000 yen ($1,100 USD or so) at auction, Toyota Crowns are like 400,000 yen at auction (and then sold at twice the price once exported elsewhere), many generic kei vans are like 120,000 yen in running condition, etc.
