Not many people know this, but capybaras are incredibly stupid animals. They very rarely actually run from predators which is why you see photos of capys laying next to crocodiles or big cats.

Maybe they have poor eyesight and bad ear, because they should have seen it or hear the noise long ago

Capybara was just chilling out and being a sweet vegetarian creature hurting no one. Then the mean, ferocious Jaguar, A FALLEN CREATURE OF SATAN that survives by killing peaceful animals, attacks and murders the capybara in cold blood. The baby capybara escapes - but will suffer PTSD for life and need lots of medication and therapy. This is no way to run things guys.
