Elgood in his book Arms of Greece and her Balkan Neighbours mainly uses the term "Arnautka" in the text describing this weapon, but also in some cases uses the term "Arnautka or Tancica". Other authors (eg. Tirri) use the term "Tanchika". Tançika is pronounced Tanchika. Arnautka is another name but it refers more and by extension to the mercenaries who use these guns: "Arnauts"

We found a rusted up and pretty beat up albanian rat tail pistol (yeah it took some time researching that) in our storage unit. We live in Sweden and my father says its been past down, but why would it be past down in a swedish lineage, I find it fascinating. But it doesn't operate since the firing mechanism is rusted up and the Ram rod is cut in half (dont know why)
You can clean it carefully and place it somewhere as a decoration.
