There are many cycling events and riding locations here in Texas. I try to capture some of those rides and fun so I can share my experiences with you. I also review camping gear and show off outdoor activities.
Will this tent survive the rain? Beyond Home 10 person Instant Cabin Tent. First time in the rain.
I took the Beyond Home 10 person instant cabin tent out to Cedar Hill State Park in Texas. It was a rainy 2 days and the tent held up great with no leaking. It rained very hard during the day and the entire night. The tent is very east to assemble and disassemble.

Beyond Home 10 Person Tent

Beyond Home 10 person Tent. I took this tent out for the first time. It was very easy to set up by myself. It took very little time to set up and then when I took it down and repacked it. It is a bit heavy and I would not want to carry it any great distance. It is very large inside and can easily hold 2 queen size air mattresses. The divider is great for privacy for a second room or for changin...

The year's Peach Pedal is held in Weatherford Texas, this year on July 10th, 2021. I rode the 39 mile route. There is also a 28 mile and 61 mile route. Id's say it's not an easy ride because it has a lot of hills. www.peachpedal.com/

2019 Muenster Metric Century Bicycle Rally
Appreciate the video. It really is nice to see where you set up the tent. It made me think of the memories of when my uncle Dale would take me fishing there at Mineral Wells.
Any leaking issues with the tent?
I have not had any. I just took it out two days ago in a trip and it rained hard all night, at least 6 hours, with rain and winds and everything held up nicely with no leaking.
@@sleestackoutdoors thanks for your reply.
Could you show how you fold it up. I love the tent but I still can’t get it back in the bag.
That's a nice tent!😊
A walk in park! Good fishing 😊
Just signed up for this one for 2023. How safe did you feel on those two lane roads?
I did the 22 mile last year and will do it again this year. Felt safe the whole route. Not many cars.
I've felt safe the entire ride every year that I have done it. Really good ride. The 100k is taxing.
Great ride
Was this a blue-level race track?
0:35 oops the camera flew off
Its a bike race!
Thanks for the warning, about to smash this one at the 13th annual.
Thought about doing this rally this year but I heard the road is mostly chip seal, is that true? Doesn't sound like a fun ride if that's the case haha.
You should ride the 5 mile section now! 5 mile is really fun!!!
Thanks, I need to try it. I hear it’s good.
You need a gimbal......Makes me a little dizzy. Try a Hero6 or a Hero7 Black. You can get them used on EBAY for about $125 - $225.. Thanks for sharing
Slow motion
Is there very much elevation drop, or is there any good downhill/jumps or is it more xc?
It's pretty much XC terrain. There are a couple of downhill spots but it's so rocky in those areas that you can't get much speed.
What was the main road in Cleburne you were riding on?
Von Wane we started on North Nolan River Rd.
So I recently started mountain biking. I have a bike but it's not a really good one, would you recommend this trail?
Daniel Danford oh yeah, it’s a really good trail. There are choices along the trail to do shorter or longer sections. They really did a good job building it.
Is that cat 2 or 3

I’m sorry I don’t have a Strava file on it.
Do you have a strava file of this? Thanks!
rmlhtown sorry, no.
rmlhtown sorry, no.
The ride was a non climatic finish. I wish it was included on the square activities. You make a quick ride out of 67 miles. 🤠👌
woxiangLaguindah That would be really neat to see so all the people on the square can see the cyclists finish and friends and family attending could take pics.
Thank you for posting this informative video. I’m heading up there from Lampasas county to check the trails and didn’t realize I didn’t have to go into the park to start my ride. Happy Trails!
Lisa Mitchell You’re welcome. I’ve thought of making a new version of this since I’ve gotten some new video equipment since then.
FASTER!!
Matt Barner This is the first time that we had ever ridden this. I’m looking forward to blazing through it. 🔥
So definitely not for beginners?
Good job.......luv HHH Triple threat.........funtimes
Thanks! see you there in 2018.
Any idea what your avg. speed was? Thanks for the video!
Texas Farmer, Riding the Trail from the Weatherford trailhead towards Mineral Wells seems somewhat downhill so you can get a good average going. On my road bike, 700x 28 tires, I’d say probably about 15 avg +. Some parts I’ve looked down and I was clipping along at 25mph. Now on the return trip it’s a different story. It’s a slight uphill grade for a long time from Mineral Wells towards Weatherford and some parts you might be getting up to only about 8-10 mph that will pull your avg down. Once you reach the trail sign that states “you’ve reached the highest point in the trail” you know it’s no longer an uphill grade towards the Weatherford trailhead.
Hey guys I bumped into you out there the other day, I was on the orange cannondale. Really nice meeting you fellas. Hope to see you out there again sometime.
Hey, it was nice to meet you! I'm sure we'll see you again out there. It's such a great place to ride. Your bike sure flies over everything. ua-cam.com/video/pMdBiFLxDdA/v-deo.html Check out this video. You are in it for a little bit but you're so fast, lol.
Too much shifting gears.
that one is a killer
yeah lots of uphill sections here and the downhill is pretty intense. Id rate intermediate
have you been back out there?
Oh yeah, It's a lot of fun. I've been there probably 10 times this year so far. My lap times are getting faster and faster.
Where is this at? State and city
Weatherford, Texas
I don't know what I was thinking, it's in Mineral Wells, Texas.
Do you no were N is we're he said he would have fallen I fell there and it hurt it does not seem that high but it is.
it's like watching in slow motion.... 👴
Yeah, I've gotten faster on the trail since then.
Thanks for uploading! Is your Trek hybrid a 26er? I saw a couple of videos while researching if the trail was ideal for a road bike. It seems like it's probably most suited for a mountain bike. I have 26er, which would probably add to the challenge of riding the entire trail.
Yes. It was a 26. I have ridden my road bike on it quite a bit as well. My road bike tires are 700x28. There may be a few areas that have some loose gravel where it has come unpacked due to rain and/or refilling. I would ride either bike.
Thanks for the info!
Aim for the legs....it is your only chance of stopping them!
One word. DeadCatDot
That looks like a lot of fun!
