Can one see the same histological findings in other non-infected alveoli?
Hi Doc, I'm from Asia. May I ask your help please? I have loculated fluid collection in segmen 10 lung based on CT Scan result, i met general doctor, instead of Lung Doctor. I have covid 19 now and its hard to see Specialist doctor due of the protocol. I'm so sad and confused due I've read my CT scan result that there is a loculated fluid collection in segmen 10 of my lung, is it because of Covid 19 or something else? I don't have GGO. My lung clear from GGO. But there is a loculated fluid in segmen 10 and i wonder what is this? Is it because of Covid? And what should i do? Whether this fluid needs surgery? My saturation Oxygen is 98 percentage. But I have heavy cough now with sputum now, i'm using levofloxacin after azithromycin didnt work to reduce my sputum cough. I know i should meet Doctor but at least if you can help to explain it would means a lot to me. Since I can't easy to meet Specialist doctor due i still have Covid. Thank you in advance
so good
Amazing indeed Best explanation ever
excellent !! amazing!
Hi Dr. Oviedo, Thank you very much for these amazing videos. I have a question regarding the virtual slides you use. I cannot access any of them via pathpresenter slide library. Your links work. Are these your own slides? Can you please advise me how to find the normal histology slides in pathpresenter? Thank you very much. I wish you the best of luck with your youtube channel.
Hi Filip, Most of these are from my personal collection. If they are from my personal collection, then they can only be found through my link. I do also use some slides from Pathpresenter library, but I believe most of my UA-cam material is from personal collection. If you are using them for a class or something, you can tell me dates of your class and I will avoid altering links if you want to use link.
@@MedicalHistology That is very useful, thank you very much.
Incredible
Thank uu so much!!
You're welcome!
thank you
Pls make more videos, they are amazing!!
Thanks great overview. I was wondering if you could do a similar video on tonsil histopathology with a few examples of reactive conditions and a few examples of malignant including lymphoma. The focus on morphology is great. The videos are perfect for beginners while also serving as great revision for those with more experience.
Great suggestion!
This is a fantastic overview, great use of virtual slides. Would love to see more similar videos.

Thank you Dr Oviedo! I've looked at the cdc recommendations for n95 masks for aerolizing procedures and the WHO and found some conflicting info. Would you consider aerolizing as something that can make you cough? What if it's a coughing fit when taking an oral temperature could that be considered aerolizing and droplet? I know the data is limited. I'm coming from clinic setting and triaging. And often wonder if a surgical mask is enough?
Surgical mask and ppe
If you are in healthcare setting, you should wear N95 mask if you have access, even if you are in clinic and triage. Yes, coughing from taking temperature can both aerosolize and cause droplets with virus. Breathing alone may also aerosolize virus in asymptomatic patients.
You should also immediately put surgical masks on patients if you have them. Also, have patients wait outside building to prevent transmission in waiting room. Call them in one by one with cell phone.
Better yet, see patients outside building if possible with you wearing full gear.
Thank you very much.
Goes into eyes and nose too.
How are these layers arranged?
I'm sorry I don't understand the question. Which layers?
@@MedicalHistology I think they mean the endothelium, fibrosa and spongiosa layers
wonderful presentation
