As long as the weather is nice I may get one more good ride in before my week-long trip coming up. The few videos after that should be Up-state New York on my road glide.

I just wish it weee closer! Where I live in Ohio it is very flat. I have to ride a good distance to find decent elevation changes and scenery like this.

Floorboards. Once on the right, once on the left. I was leading a crew of 5 so I wasn’t going to go too crazy on this road. It has a history of gravel in the corners, and hidden driveways. It’s a challenging road, but I don’t generally ride crazy…

Still got a whistle. I have a windshield on the way so that should help.

@@BBuxRides ya sadly I still have to wait one have do throw a dealership because I don’t got that type of cash on hand second I don’t got the money right now to do payments hopefully next year but.

@johnyshirley3859 my road glide is my only new bike. Everything else was picked up cheap, old, and broken. Fix them up, ride them, sell them, start over. Funds from previous project fund new project. The goal is to make money, but even if I break even, I still have enough to run another project, which is just another part of the hobby I enjoy. For the price of a decent sportster, you can pick up a running (older) twincam touring bike. Just have to be willing to take it apart to make sure everything is good to go. (2-3k purchase price, and budget 500-1k for a quick flip, 1-2k for parts of ya plan on keeping it) (less if it doesn’t need tires) Decent runner with good paint, no oil leaks and can prove tensioners are in decent shape will fetch 5-6k easy.

@@BBuxRides ya that true kinda trying do my sportster but then got to in love with it and putting more money in it then I should do so now I won’t get what I did to it back other thing. Then I got find a cheap bike where am at put Harley Davidson for less 3 or 4 grand only thing pop is sportster or Dylan’s with very high miles sadly.

@johnyshirley3859 there is definitely a difference in spending to make money and spending on something you plan on keeping. When evaluating a bike for a flip, you need to know the cost of the maintenance and cosmetic changes to get it to a point where you can sell at a profit. It is tough to stay in that budget, especially if you enjoy the wrenching part of the hobby. (It’s easy to go overboard replacing chrome bits, and making things shiny)…

Thanks! We do have some pretty nice roads here in Ohio. I just finished another video of one of Ohio’s best roads for riding, the triple nickel. I’ve ridden it before, but it’s a much different experience on the Road King!

Little bit of a hybrid with this video. The external mic picked up a rattle, so I blended the camera mic with the external, used the external for when it was louder, and the camera for the lower volume areas…. Turned out pretty nice, and on my tv with the god sound is darn close to how it sounds in my helmet….

Local bicycle peloton for cancer research. Most of the roads were on the route due out the same morning. Luckily I missed all the pedal traffic.

I had a 2:1 on it before, didn’t much care for the look or sound. This sounds and looks way better (my opinion), and I’m not going for speed. After all, It’s a 20 year old stock 88 cruiser.

@@BBuxRidesI agree unless you’re racing and as you stated you’re not, for an 88 you still looking fresh ✊🏾✊🏾

How about duals with an x-pipe? Wouldn't that give dual pipe sound, while the x balances out the pulses? In HP automotive applications, that seems the most efficient, and frees up the most hp and torque.

@Ch-ui6mw they do provide some back pressure. I have a set of v&H Power Duals on my road glide. They sound great as well.

Not trade, add additional! More than once I’ve had one of my bikes on a lift for something, it’s nice to be able to keep riding while one is in maintenance. LOL.

Rattles can be hard to diagnose, especially when they only happen when you’re rolling. I had a rattle a while back, turned out to be a loose rivet inside an exhaust pipe from the baffle…

@@BBuxRides yep my bike done past owner put this aftermart parts from Harley like side peace’s of engine and top of head that was lose the bolts was all lose. Glad it was just that so,etching lose not motor goner lol.

Just rode for a good amount today and have a tin rattle somewhere. Everything is tight, but the buzz is likely to drive me crazy.

@johnyshirley3859 I think it is an exhaust bracket up against a heat shield.

Some of that had to do with where the camera position was on my helmet. That, plus I’m 6’1” and mostly torso so I could see over the windshield.

Have some ideas…. My goal for this season is to make it a reliable cruiser…. We’ll see what comes with winter…. :)

Yep! I already have the primary completely off, changing out seals and gaskets. It needs some paint work on the tank and front fender, not sure what I want to do about that yet…

Not sure about the exhaust. I need to do something about it, it’s on tight but rattlesnake something awful…

The road king was a winter project that I turned into cash for another project. I’m looking for another project, maybe a buell or a soft tail to build up and ride.

@@BBuxRides o for real that cool you should maybe do a dyna or look at one.

I’ve seen a few. It’s better to buy in the fall when people are trying to offload before the winter, but I do look for new projects every day.

@@BBuxRides ya that for sure are around tax time or the beginning of ridding session too they are both good time to look around.

@johnyshirley3859 beginning of riding season is the best time to sell finished projects. Folks have their tax returns, and are looking to spend. Mid summer, not so many projects for sale. Mostly folks selling their pride and joy because they don’t ride anymore. Most of what is for sale are REALLY NICE (and expensive). The prices start to decline as folks are looking for putting them up for the winter.

Yeah. I live just east of Columbus. Need ride 30-45 minutes before you can find a roads with any kind of bend to them…. LOL.

It’s definitely a different ride than my road glide.

LOL, I knew as soon as I rolled up on it that someone would ask. It was tall, but I’d still have to crouch down pretty far to fit under it.

It’s been while since I’ve hit the reserve on this tank. I maybe get around 130ish miles on bc a full tank. I ride this bike mostly local so I refill every 50 miles or so….

It is a pleasure to ride, but nowhere near as comfortable as my big bike :) I’ll get some more videos of this one, and I still haven’t had the buell out since last year….

Yeah, I’m still rolling the 114 stage 1. If I end up having to do any top end work, I’ll look at some big more setups. Rineharts do sound really nice. I came across these neighbor haters when I was working on something and swapped out from a set of cobra 606 pipes.

It really is nice here on the spring…. Once we get through the tornado weather, ice, sleet, hail, snow….. we eventually got rained on a little, but for the window of this video, it really was beautiful…
