Cheers Jaffa! Don't know much about the Timeline but it looks good. The Zen Delay takes the delayed signal and feeds it through a 12AX7 vacuum tube which makes it proper gnarly. Great for Techno.

It is all Midi clock. The master clock is sent from a 1010 music blackbox sampler but I also have a Squarp Pyramid which is the main sequencer and should probably be the master. The only bit of gear that was a problem was the Moog DFAM because it does not have midi but I bought a little device called Dthing which takes midi clock then sends clock (I think) to the sequencer advance input on the DFAM (not exactly sure how it works lol, but seems fine).

Thanks, didn't think Mixolydian would work well for techno but came out quite well. Will try Dorian at some point. The biggest challenge will be to change modes live and get all the gear to change at the same time. I only have one pair of hands lol!

Thanks, the MegaFM is amazing for doing techno stabs and chords. I still have no real understanding of how to properly use it, I just mess about until a happy accident happens and then save it as a preset

You won't regret it. I managed to get great sounds out of it straight away thanks to nice people on UA-cam showing how to patch it.

Thanks! The Subharmonicon sounds great once you get it all set up and in tune. Can probably do that way easier than by hand lol but haven't had time to learn it properly yet (same with most my gear!) Will have a listen to your tune later

The desk was a space saving thing that I got from Amazon (I think). It isn't a music studio piece of furniture. I think the synth stands are by "headliner". Gear4music have them and I think Thomann do too. Actually they might be by "Roadworx". They are sold by Thomann.

I can't for the life of me remember which synths I used on this track but was definitely all getting mangled by a Sherman filter bank and then fed into an Erica Synths Zen Delay. Could of been Erica Synths DB01 Bassline. I think there are only a couple of recorded parts but all the distortion and delay makes it sound like more.

Im new to everything, used to play a a bit of piano as a hobby but this year i discovered my love for synths, mixing, and production. Ive been mostly working on android but i newly installed cardinal and have been enthralled by Surge XT's modules

I started out using software and samples but find it easier to use hardware synths where you can get your hands on the controls. It all ends up going into Ableton Live for a fair bit of limiting lol!

Hahaha it took me 8 months since i started to figute out that everything i made was clipping like mad xD i do enjoy the analog interface of cardinal and caustic 3

@@thorragnarok1309 Analog hardware takes a lot of setting up and then you get the problem of realizing that the gear you bought does not fit your set up lol. Is a very expensive hobby.

Damn..so anyway, do you think digital synths have succeeded in replacing analogs?

@@thorragnarok1309 I had a Waldorf Iridium synth which was digital and it sounded lifeless compared to the Moogs that I have but am sure there are great digital synths out there

Just the kick sample from the 707. The hats and vocal are from a 1010 music blackbox sampler which is out of view. It is annoying that I have so little room and can't get good camera angles lol. Only just got my DFAM and Subharmonicon so not got round to doing hats yet.
