For some reason, a lot of people think this game called 'Health' isn't easy...especially when you are set up to fail since your youth. SOMEBODY PLEASE REPLY... I do sprinting on a leg & arm recumbent bike. I sprint arms only for 40secs, slow down w/both arms & legs for 20secs... Then sprint legs only for 40secs, slow down w/both arms & legs for 20secs... Repeat for 30mins total. Thoughts? Should i flip the numbers maybe to 20sec sprint on arms, rest 40secs...20sec sprint on legs, rest 40secs...? Rmbr, my arms are sorta resting when i'm sprinting my legs, & vice versa. Thank you!!!

Peace champ! The answer to your question really depends on what your goals are. Though you are likely feeling those muscles, this machine is not to be confused with hypertrophy (strength training). Will this help tone those areas? Yes. I also like the intervals you listed, sounds like a beast of a workout! I wouldn't be too worried about creating an imbalance in your muscles (arms vs legs). I also don't see a difference if you flip the numbers...outside of the idea that you could actually do both. For example, if you plan to hit this cardio routine 4x a week, try the different routine every other time. This will make sure that everything is developing and toning evenly. Also, if you are trying to gain muscle, don't forget to do your strength training before you do long stretches of cardio, maybe even split them up into two workouts. I hope some of this helps, if you need some more help let me know!

This definitely varies per person. I start out with the slow pace of 6-8, then I challenge myself on the speed pace of 12-15. But this has come from experience, so make sure you take your time and don't hurt anything

The Stairmaster is one of the best machines in the gym. Low impact and very high intensity training. And the best thing is that in most gyms they are always available no matter how busy it gets - most people don't use them or they try them a few times and then stay away!

At the two gyms I go to they are the most used pieces of cardio equipment, including one planet fitness, so I guess it depends where you are. There are six at each gym, but if they are all in use you can check back in ten or fifteen minutes and get one most of the time. You can get your heart rate wherever you want, at least for me, that's what I like about them. They are by far the best machine for helping with a heart situation for me- I've kept a heart problem in check for many years with the stairmaster, and there's nothing else even close. For my nephew he says the stairmaster bothers his knees and so he uses the elliptical, but it is the opposite for me. The stairmaster allows free range of motion for your knees and the elliptical locks them into an unnatural movement, at least for me. If the elliptical fits your body just right it apparently can work.

Going to be my third time doing the HIIT on the stairmaster. It’s challenging but I’m going to stick with it. I do five minute warm up then alternate levels 7 and 8 for 30 seconds. After that I do 90 seconds on level 1 then repeat for 20 minutes total.

    • @transformwithwill8629

@@transformwithwill8629 I was unable to go to that gym until today. I took the 2 flights of stairs going up to the gym which was good preparation and I successfully did 4 stair master minutes. Totally good starter session. My normal everyday workout is 40 minutes of a fast uphill walk up the treadmill, and today's stair climb was after all that. I liked the 4 minutes well enough to drop to 30 minutes of the treadmill, and shoot for 10 minutes on the stair master and see how that works! So far, so good, and thanks again!
