Everett Marina Tsunami Warning
Переглядів 92Рік тому
Well, that was interesting. I've lived on the Everett Marina waterfront for a few weeks now, and this morning weeeewooooweeeewooooweeeewooo. All these sirens are going off and the mumbling voice from the Navy base is saying something. Couldn't make out what it was. Must have just been a Tsunami Warning test, cause I'm still here.
Part 16. 1968 Mustang Coyote swap update and steering working
Переглядів 276Рік тому
I'm in the process of rebuilding a 1968 Mustang Coupe in preparation to installing a 2012 Coyote power plant. It's been slow the last year. However I have made some progress. 24" Champion radiator and dual fans are in. Bought those from Power by the Hour. A/C condenser and dryer are in. From Vintage Air. Steering is now in and working. I have a foam coyote engine block with the headers mounted ...
Part 15: Mustang Battery Relocation
Переглядів 7082 роки тому
Working on moving the Battery location from the front to the rear of the car. Took me a bit to figure out the run I wanted to use for the main battery cable. I think it came out okay. I used 0/1 Red Welding cable. I plan to run a short 0/1 Black cable from a terminal to the front frame, then do the same in the back. Straight from the negative battery terminal down to a frame mount. Since I plan...
Part 14: Coyote Mock block installed in the 1968 Mustang
Переглядів 2042 роки тому
I purchased a P-Ayr 3045 Coyote Foam Engine Block to install in the 1968 Mustang to verify I'm not going to have horrible fitment issues. And, as you'll see in the video, things are actually fitting. So far I've installed the brake system, Wilwood, Headers from MTF, and the Foam engine block. Clearance is good so far. The engine block arrived with a bunch of cracks and corners broken. Summit of...
Almost out of Gas
Переглядів 2032 роки тому
I didn't think much about it this morning. Headed to work with a bit over 1/8th of a tank of gas. It's only 16 miles each way. And then got stuck in traffic on the way home. Oops. FYI. A Miata tank is 10 Gallons. I put in 9.8 Gallons. Only cost me $60. Welcome to the Bay Area of California.
Part 13. Mustang radiator core support
Переглядів 1462 роки тому
Welded in the core support and finished up welding the Mustangs To Fear inner fenders.
1953 Ford Victoria. Hydraulic top controls installed.
Переглядів 992 роки тому
Flew up to Washington to help a buddy out. Put his 1953 Ford back together. I missed filming the top go up, but caught it coming back down. Not bad for a 70 year old car. Too needs some tweaks, but functions.
Mustang Part 12. Clutch and Brake master cylinders
Переглядів 7542 роки тому
I'm slowly making more progress on putting the 68 Mustang back together. I messed around with the Modern Drivelines clutch master cylinder and the Wilwood brake master cylinder. Those are now in. I need to re-evaluate the location of my brake distribution block. Won't fit between the clutch and brake master cylinders. Also I'm not liking the front brake line bulkhead locations. Might need to mo...
2022 Miata MX-5 Modifications
Переглядів 298 тис.2 роки тому
I've installed the Roof Controller, Window Controller, and Accessory Controller in my new Miata. This allows me to remotely roll the windows up and down and open and close the roof. All with the key fob. Some other items are one touch control of the roof at up to 20mph and 1 touch control of the windows. What color is this? I want silver, but ceramic metallic looks too white and machine gray metallic is too dark.
It's the 2022 Platinum Quartz Metallic
We used a NAPA part # that worked perfect.
What is the part number to the lower radiator hoses?
For now I'm just using the one off the wrecked 2012. Not a great fit, but it works.
Nice
Nothing special,.. Downside,.. only two people can fit,.. Convertible, special??? 😅,..
You didn't need to relocate the oil filter.
Actually I did. It wouldn't come on or off in the stock location. It hits.
I was the founder and former owner of Mustangs To Fear, I developed an adapter that keeps the oil filter in the same location.
@ wish I had realized that. My relocation, while doable, was a bit of a pain.
I've always wondered if plastic or fiberglass wheel liners could be fabricated to fit the gen 1 Mustangs to better protect everything. Even more reason for this with the ECU and other wiring in there.
I noticed you didn't have your vin # stamped in the left upper rail.
I actually cut the VIN stamp out of the original rail so that I can weld it back in when I get closer to being done. Everything from the frame rails up has been replaced at this point. So, nothing original forward of the firewall exists anymore.
@iceflyer55 as the founder and former owner of Mustangs To Fear, 90 % of our customers always wanted to have us stamp in their vin #. The problem I'm hearing is MTF doesn't bother to the customers anymore.
@@RS-gh2mf I wasn't aware that was even an option. It's why I cut the old one out to weld back in. Wish I had known, it would have been a much cleaner option. Oh well. Live and learn.
@iceflyer55 MTF has really went down hill since we sold it in August of 2020. We opened a new company called Patriot Classic 4x4 specializing in 66-77 Bronco's
It really needs to be boxed in to keep it water proof
I plan to do something to keep it protected. Right now my goal is to get all of the components installed and verify fitment. Then it'll be clean up and finalization time.
Cool as hell wow. Will definetly also do this when I get my RF. Thanks for the video. Your car looks sick
Can you remote start the car as well? I have the SmartTop and love it! I did not know you can do it and the windows from the key fob! Thank you for this video!
My car is a 6 speed manual. So, no options for remote start.
Which exact model of MX5 is this? cause all the once from 2022 that I saw have hand manual removed roof tops? Thank you! beautiful car!
It's the 2022 Grand Touring RF.
What color is this? I'm thinking about buying one and can't decide between the silver and white.
It's the 2022 Platinum Quartz with Terracotta interior
Slow and steady Wins the race. Gloria in Excelsis Deo.
Unfortunately it's going to be a bit. I ended up changing jobs and moving to a different state. Ordering parts and getting ready to start up again on the Mustang
Just curious, if this is a 68, why do you have 67 door hinges?
No idea. Didn't even know there was a difference in the hinges. I know the car came off the SJ assembly in roughly Oct-Nov of 67, but it's a 68 model.
have the same thing installed. took it to costco for a tire change. guy spam the key fob. the tools on top of the roof falls in when folded it. putting a big dent on the roof. too bad they don't have valet mode
Do you have a clip or guide how to do this on a mx5?
can you stop it halfway if you wanted to. I would imagine if you start opening it and then start closing while it's in motion it would stop, but I'm not sure. It could just start going the other way
I love the color of this MX-5 . I just bought the 2023 RF manual Grey . Same interior. I like your color better . Grey is second , then Red . Opinions, everyone has one .
Happy Happy Joy Joy !
color?
Does it use the factory remote?
Very awesome. I know what I'm doing when I finally get my own RF.
Looks awesome! Can't wait to see the next update.
Can it be coded so that either one double click or triple click does both the windows and the roof. Instead of needing 5 in total button presses?
Yes. They are separate modules. So you just set them both to respond to a double click or a triple click and it should do both.
@@iceflyer55 cool, good to know. Fairly sure if I’m ever wanting the top down, might want the windows at the same time
What brackets are you using for those recaro seats?
I purchased them up in Washington when I was there. I believe it's these. www.plantedtechnology.com/products/seat-brackets/ford.html?seat_bracket_application=117
Sweet thank you very much I live here in Washington state what a coincidence. Your car is sweet great videos. I have a the same car too heck yah stay safe. Thank you for the great videos.
Great thing. I want to install that in my MX-5 but I'm wondering about guarantee. Does dealer allow to install this thing?
Not sure really. If I have any issues I'll just remove the modules before I take the car in.
Incredible.
Why tho
Really Nice - The other window , is that just stuck ?
Nice I just got 2021 RF automatic jet black
out of stock 🥲where else can i get a roof controller?
I like this s&s exhaust
Nice car👍👍 In a few more years hopefully one will be mine
🤔 𝐩𝓻Ỗ𝓂Ø𝓈M
Great job on the modification
Can you control the roof with the key? Now THAT would be really useful
That's actually what I've done. I had to add the window and aux modules on top of the roof controller, but because I've done that I can triple click my remote and the windows roll down and the top cycles either down or up.
@@iceflyer55 thanks!
One of these day I will receive the roof controller, acc power control and Windows controller. My plan, and hopefully it will work, is that, onlike what I've seen people do, I want to click once for lock and unlock the car, but if I want to open or close roof (and Windows) I want to click twice, is that possible?
Hi what colour is your miatia? It looks a sunlight silver colour I am in Australia the only silver colour was a dark machine grey You are very lucky because your colour is the best in my eyes
It's called Platinum Quartz with the Terracotta interior.
@@iceflyer55 Lucky you An awesome colour
Love it !!! nice work!!
Bro, how much will this car cost?
I paid MSRP. About $35k plus tax, title, etc.
Woow I have a Miata 2015 and I love this one too.
Looks awesome!
My dream...happy for you man..enjoy it
now that is cool
There isn't a cooler car than the MX-5 . Yours is much cooler than the rest. I love it . Enjoy it.
I love mine, as I'm sure many others out there love theirs. Each with a tweak here or there to make them unique.
On your camera it looks like light grey silver - not far off ceramic metallic. Is that the true colour or is it more goldy / yellow kind of silver?
It depends on the light. It goes from a silver to a gold/silver color. Not my favorite Mazda color, but it's not bad.
Wow that is 😎
😍🥺
Wooowwww, how many seconds did that shave off your quarter mile 😲
