As I've mentioned at the start of this post, please be gentle! Words are extremely powerful and impactful, please use them wisely.
Thank you so much for all of the positive support I've received so far on the channel, feel free to pop any relocation questions you have below and I'll do my best to answer!

He he! Two minds think alike! This is the comment I left on your previous one: Honestly, it is so bloody tedious when people’s comments are SOOO constructive and kind like “You speak to fast. I can’t listen to this.” Ever thought that just maybe she’s not talking so fast because she is trying to make it hard for her viewers..? Often when people are anxious are the have a whole lot of information to share but the worry about whether people are going to take the time to listen they can unintentionally speak faster and faster thinking that they are probably boring their viewers. It’s so much more rewarding to pause for a moment and focus on your feed back either being really appreciative or if your leave a helpful ‘FYI’ to take a moment and figure out a kind way to say it. YOU will feel like a better person and you will know that you have added a little bit of joy or positivity to another. And actually, and even more relevantly, actually apply the bloody logic and think “Hmm… this is UA-cam, they must have some way to accomodate watching to increase viewers. Let me have a look” “Oh! Wow! Unbelievable! So unusual for viewer apps in this day and age! How novel! You can get subtitles! Amazing! And I can slow it down! Or even speed it up! This is incredible to have all these options!” I’m sorry, I’m not trying to be really rude it is just really upsetting when people are so self-orientated and selfish and if the see something that even fore the most benign reason the immediate response is to leave a negative comment with even thinking twice how the person will feel reading it and even more bothersome is to not even think to look to see if there is an option to adjust it to you preference. Considering that every single app to watch comes with a bounty of options to personalise just for you, not to mention ever television available to mankind these days has the say variety of options. It could have taken you about 34 seconds and then you could have watched it and if your some compelled to leave a message then leave something nice. OR as my Grandma used to say “If you don’t have something nice to say then don’t say anything at all”. So just to make it that little bit easier to make any adjustments on this or anything else yo7 may need to personalise: Hot tip: go to the ⚙️ in the top right corner of the film screen and select Play Back Speed and just select 0.75x or even 0.5x to slow it down to the right speed that suits you perfectly. (Oh, and also good option when you are interested in a UA-cam Videa but really just want the facts and can go the opposite direction!)
I have been thinking about moving to Scotland from Melbourne for several years- I have spent time there previously and couldn’t think of a country that I would want to live more! I was wondering if it is a relatively straight forward? I have no idea where to move to(still… 🙄!) but I more mean, in general, the paperwork and if the people are friendly with respect to the technical sort of things, like find somewhere to live and giving them an application? And if you left all you household stuff in storage in Australia or if it was worth- and not too expensive to ship it- and if the moving costs and living costs are reasonable…? Don’t worry, I’m not seeking specifics just your general take. I have a brain injury and I am relatively independent but I am just cautious in anticipation. (Which, I have to say having moved and lived in France several years ago and the French practical make it so frustrating and tedious that they are probably expecting to push you over the edge and move back home…. 😂 Ah, the French that is like their national signature. And I can imagine that the Scots would have their own ‘signature’ which would be really welcoming but just to get a bit of perspective I’d like your take on it. 🔮.

I can't watch this speaking. That fast gives me too much anxiety I do.I'm too likely to have a panic attack
Which was the month you visited Scotland?
This sounds like so much fun! I will look The MCC up if I move over next summer, although I will be in Fife it sounds like it would be worth the short trip to Edinburgh.
That a pause between each sentence, please!
Much love. Thank you for sharing your experiences 🤗
Talking fast was the best part of the video!
Talking so fast I can't keep up. Sorry

I personally think your delivery is very clear, direct and packed with pertinent observations. Don't change a thing 5 stars for content and presentation.
YOU TALK TOO FAST,IS LIKE YOU READ THE WORDS ON A PAPER.
This is probably the best info I have heard from anyone regarding relocation to a new country. You have covered alot of very important things to consider! Thank you!
Where is this? :)
Thanks for uploading this video, its very helpful :) I'm moving from Melbourne, Australia to Edinburgh early next year, so I have a question regarding GP visits... You mentioned that prescription medicine is free, which is awesome! But what happens when it takes 2 weeks to get a doctors appointment and you need a medical certificate for work on a sick day? What would be the protocol? 🤔
Let me translate her PSA. PSA: Everyone calm the fuck down. She’s a real person, have some fucking respect. Alright, as you were, enjoy the video. 😂
Not gonna lie, first time I hear an Australian say they are a winter person. 😂 But that’s very cool
As a anglophile Canadian who first moved to Edinburgh in 1975 but moved away in '78 - though am back most every year for month- or months-long stays - I fully understand your love of Edinburgh. For me it was love at first sight. And coming up on 50 years later I am still madly in love with walking the streets, seeing the sights, looking up at the skies and savouring just about everything else in that fabulous city. I have just discovered you this evening and have watched several clips. Your scenic shots are particularly crisp - I love them, which is refreshing to see. This is likely because you have proper gear for the job and know how to use it. With those Hidden Scotland magazines in your studio as a cue, have you considered shooting areas of Edinburgh (and beyond) that are somewhat hidden? I love the residential areas including the Grange, Bruntsfield and Polwarth...Blackett, Trinity, Newhaven...and I have never seen a good video on the New Town. William Street is a nice little corner of that. You at the St. Vincent is so close to so much - Circus Lane, St. Stephen Street, Dean Bank Lane (leading to...), Saxe Coburg Place and down the steps at the end of the to the Stockbridge Colonies on Glenogle Road. Even (back across town) the Meadows (lunch at Victor Hugo's) and Bruntsfield Links. In terms of exposure on the Internet these are criminally overlooked. Ditto the residential areas of Portobello and Joppa, side by side down on the waterfront. Glasgow has similar areas in its west end, out Byers Road and around the University. I realise your videos are more like 'a day in the life', but that concept would work well in terms of going A to B between, say, the Oxford Bar on Young Street down to The Raeburn on Raeburn Place via Gloucester Lane. As for speaking too quickly, those 'offended' listeners simply need to get up to speed. Thank you, I've enjoyed what I've seen so far, I've subscribed and I look forward to watching more.
Watched part 1 and I liked the fast pace info. I don't know why anyone had trouble keeping up with you, I for one do not enjoy dozens of uh, um, ahm (s) so keep it up its a big part of what makes you interesting imo. Congrats on all your success, you are an asset to your community.
Self-made successful upbeat. Respect.
Well done and thanks for speaking quickly and clearly and getting right to your points. All interesting, best of luck to you.
I hope that if I ever get the chance to visit Scotland I can say hi to you!!! You give off the friendliest and warmest vibes and it’s so beautiful!!! Keep shining, mama! Don’t dull that light ⭐️💗
I wanna move and teach in Scotland sooooo bad 😭😭💗 do you have any info on what the high schools are like?

AH! I'm such a loony dooker that i've created groups of Cold Water Mermaids all over auckland - its one of my most favourite things to do in the world - I SERIOUSLY need to find me a handsome scotsman so I can fck off into the hair armpit of the wild of scotland!
Also your hustle has inspired me to start writing my creepy goth novels ( again) and to really research into balancing my creativity and career as a councillor and death doula - k- bye!
I've just sent your channel through to all my friends ( Some are in London, Cheshire,UK Ireland, NZ and Canada) I love your channel SO much! I've just told them I'm going to somehow connect with you if i move or visit there! Gothy vibes into musicals, food and lifiting people up = g'mon! Lets get a bagel! NEW SUB from NZ! awww babe! don't dim you're light, I watched the first vid and yea, you got a whip fast banter, ( as do I ;) I'm sorry for the bell ends that were commenting nasty stuff, there is a playback speed there for a reason folks, if you can't handle the vibrancy of a true blue aussie girl! I am being CALLLLLEEDDD to head to Scotland in the next few years. I'm a light worker, Currently doing my BA in counselling and training to be a Death Doula so hopefully will find my feet in the wellness realm in this beauty of a country. I am WITH you, I live in Muriwai Auckland and i can't stand the heat and humidity we get there - will forever be a lover of winter and autumn! Hugs to you chicken - stay sparkley!
My ADHD loves the speed that you speak at. Also Australian tho, so I also speak fast 😂
I love your videos!
Thanks for the video. My wife and I visited Scotland a year ago and I am seriously considering leaving the U.S. to live there.
As an ardent fan of Scotland, a regular visitor from 🏴 over the years, I am currently considering a move with the family. Scotland is a delightful experience each and every time one visits, yes places differ vastly in terms of local culture, custom and often behaviours (Edinburgh driving is a nightmare, and one gets the usual Capital city dose of snobbery at times) but overall the whole country has a super vibe to it. The irony for us is, we love it so much we are confused about where to go....lol. Enjoy the beautiful and friendly Scotland, it is a literal treat
naw tryna be a dick but gonnae naw advertise us durin an immigration crisis? Bit counter productive hen, aussies are sound but tae be fair
Relocating as white privileged person , that should be the title of the video 😊
Was the comment really necessary? I see you also make travel vlogs, which are lovely btw, I’d never use anything against you to leave a nasty comment on your videos?
❤@@ScotlandMagic
if you had told the receptionist at the doctors that you needed seen that day they would have given you an emergancy appointment.
@@andrewmcewan8081 I did in the end!
You do speak fast BUT, I have watched many videos where the people speak so slowly I literally speed up the videos. And that's the awesome thing about UA-cam - the option to change the speed you watch the video. If people find your speech speed too fast, they can just slow down the video! No biggie! Thanks so much for this video, very helpful and informative. I hope you see a lot more videos from you about this topic.
hi there im so glad you love scotland .the best thing about edinburgh is its proximity to GLASGOW
Look folks we don't know how things are where you are now but believe me, we are all looking for a way out of Scotland .. its the arse end of UK which is fubarred .. don't make decisions on daft youtube vids ffs
Im from south africa and im busy qualifying as an electrician 😊 ,i also have experience in painting vehicles, building wooden decks, plumbing and allot more 😊 But things here in south Africa are really really hard 😕 and if i save up enough money Can i move to Scotland? Would there be a better future for me there?
I'm really curious about it and I'm honestly serious about it
Love this video, love your vibe, love the subtitle design! 😻 Thanks!
you talk fine welcom to scotland
😅My mind moves fast, but after listening for awhile and reading comments I decided to look for a way to to slow down the video so I wouldn't miss anything. Go to settings, select playback speed from normal, enjoy! I couldn't quit laughing at the slowest option.😂 ❤ From an American that is very much not a Yankie 😅 Thanks for the content!
When transferring a foreign driver's license, do you have to also take an eye exam?
I've just discovered your channel and I have to say, I love the way you inform us about various aspects of living in Scotland! Your insights and tips are especially valuable to me as I'm gathering information about moving abroad, specifically to Scotland. I'm so excited for your next video! ❤
@@Amiarit that’s so kind, thankyou so much for your lovely comment 🥹🫶
FYI to the goons that complained about the talking speed (?! Btw you were fine! Don't change yourself!) they can change playback speed themselves!
The kid that came from america there with its parents lol
Visiting for a month soon. Checking out some options!
She lost her tan and lost weight!
