This entire album is really strong with a nice range of colors. Every song has something good and interesting to offer. I love it and it’s been in my rotation for a couple of years. Strong from start to finish. This is a good one. I love your songwriting. Great to see Dada again at City Winery in NYC this past Thursday!

Michael, I've watched you play for 30 years and holy cow is it strange to see you play a Gibson! And I mean "strange" in a good way. But you'll always be the virtuoso with a Strat when picturing you on stage.

*sigh* wish I would have seen this when Michael first performed it. Have been a HUGE fan of Michael and Dada since 1994. I've seen them live at least a dozen times and was fortunate enough to see them in Minneapolis last month. Michael, when I first discovered you guys (Dada opened for Sting on the '94 tour), I was playing bass and singing in a power trio. It was you that inspired me to focus on the guitar. You will always be one of my rock and roll heroes.

You'd be hard pressed to find any bands worthy to breathe the rarified air of dada. The singing, writing, guitar/bass and percussion of this band are unrivaled. The media and the music industry should focus their attention on the recordings of this band, then direct the entire population of earth to marvel at the immaculate sound of the uplifting melodies, chords, rhythms and messages. Thank you Smoke Street Records for giving Michael Gurley this platform.

I'm really enjoying the album, Mike. I wish I had seen that it had come out a few years ago. This is the perfect companion disc for your Butterfly Jones work. I hope we won't have to wait so long for another album - either solo or as part of dada.

I really enjoy the slower lounge interludes. I'm not as fond of Mike's "astro wig." 😁

So great to hear new music from you in the vein of dada and Butterfly Jones. This song's guitar solo is a callback to the solo in one of the songs on the first dada album - not sure if that was intentional or not, but I appreciated it.

Ya' know what I was doing at the time this notification came through that this video dropped? I was blasting 'Ask the Dust' over and over again, attempting to sing the different harmony parts while "working from home." I lose focus easily. I bought Ultrasound on AppleMusic a few weeks ago. So kick ass. "Champagne, Champagne", The Xmas album, The Brady Bunch soundtrack tune, etc... I get them all. I was front row, center at some bar Dada played at in NJ decades ago. Time of my life. Thank you, Michael. You are one of my all time favorites.

I just realized which creative spirit in Michael's former band, Dada - was most instrumental in crafting Dada's sound. That would be Michael. This tune sounds so much like Dada, I thought it WAS Dada! I really like Michael's ability to weave multiple sonic textures into each tune. He also manages to light his guitar on fire with one of his beautiful and emotional guitar solos. I truly miss the halcyon days of Dada (1990s) when they would swing through my home town of Kansas City at least once a year. Thanks Michael for this great piece of art and for the last 3 decades of incredible listening coming from your hands. More please!
