To be honest, I’m surprised the pressure needle went up almost halfway after the way you tamped the coffee. The way you supposed to tamp the coffee is to a point it feels solid.

Technically I usually press it in harder than that, because my husband tells me that it is the correct way to do it. However, in this video I did slack a little with the stamping.

@ I recommend you Lance Hedrick channel. It has a lot of info about espresso (his channel) That machine you have makes really good espresso shots. I used to have one. Fresh roasted beans, always makes great espresso!
