I can understand his thinking though. He's trying to build the ship he knows best to handle anything either of you can throw at him. Unfortunately, it's not possible to do in a single ship. This is part of the reason I came at you in a bomber in the first tournament. That was my planned counter to your battlescout. Now, I'll fly it against you just for the fun too. 😆

@@mattjaeydyn7923 sure Though he did tell me after the match that he was planning to bring battlescout but opted not to because of Combat Command The issue with this Star Guard build was that with QCS he didn’t really have any chance of killing me face to face so I always had the advantage

@@QuiescentPilot Yeah, I learned after the first tournament that QCS under performs in a 1v1. The boost to engines is not enough when you're in a close fight. I was surprised to see your accuracy as low as it was with the combat command. But you sent so many rounds down range, it more than made up for it.

@@remusqui yeah Match before this I didn’t record but was 33 kills, 149k damage with Sting on Denon Lost 917-1000 because my team all refused to defend. Didn’t record it, but recorded this one which was right after it xd

@@QuiescentPilot Yeah Had a match the other day against Rage premade where half my team had decided before the start they were gonna SD and honestly I was liek "yeah sweet if you guys end it quick that means I can keep my K/D in the positive"

Hmm, I suppose that’s one way to see it. Though the match was too close to really call it “the losing team” before the end. But the nest paid off for them; my team got a 6 point lead near the start after my first DO and the enemies basically kept it even after that, and that early lead ended up being the difference in the match. Also, I will point out that Stramb, their bomber, was on bomber the whole match and went 10-13-0 with the top damage for their team, so I think he was doing it from the beginning, and the rest didn’t catch on until a couple minutes into the match.

@@mattjaeydyn7923 enemy team turned the cube into a death trap. Stramb, their bomber who was camped in there, went 10-13-0 with 50k damage, and was second from the top on the enemy team in terms of kills, and top in terms of damage and assists. That alone should tell quite a bit about how the score was so close. From my POV, I had things under control, and was able to besiege their position with gunship, but my comrades were not so knowledgeable on how to deal with this type of match.

xd The match before was a triple-cap win for me but he still focused me and got lucky enough to piss me off... so I brought the Sting to do this to him XD

@@remusqui I played him again a couple of hours ago and played gunship against his Quell with Directionals (which I'm pretty sure is his build specifically to try to counter me on gunship); he got lucky as hell but still died three times as I killed him 3 times, Bebinn got him twice, and he SDed while chasing me once. Funniest part was that my last kill on him was right before the end and I lived with a toasty af hull so he tried to go Blackbolt to get the EMPF kill but I saw it coming and ran away and he MISSED by using it while I was just out of range lmao Can't even get the easiest and cheapest kill in the game lol

Haha And the best part is that I knew my team wouldn’t be able to keep A without me so I ran off to take B too… only for my team to throw away A while I’m waiting for it to turn green, and then one of my teammates gets me killed by an EMP Missile AoE so we lose B too XD

@ haha, true… But I feel like it’s dissatisfying when I spend the whole match winning battles while my teammates just lose the war for me :p Jhoira did really good in this one on the enemy side though, I suppose a lot of this was due to him smartly avoiding getting engaged with me and instead just beating my teammates for the whole game.

Yeah I even had to resolve myself to just eat the missiles at 10:25 and 10:36 because I couldn’t afford to lose time on the node by power diving away… and I’m pretty sure that was the difference between winning and losing cuz of how close this came…
