They have to be the three prettiest ships ever. What a damn shame none survived. There are MANY beautiful ships out there. But to me, the Olympic Class Liners the White Star built were just superb.

Gives a great perspective on the size and elegance of the Olympic class. Trying to envisage her sister slipping below the waves and tearing apart in such a violent way is almost unimaginable.

I'm 68 years old, and my Grandfather was a crew member on RMS Olympic. By the way the tug at the beginning of this film was operated by the Alexander Towing Company.

Красавчик и счастливчик Олимпик. Именно он на поверку вышел современный (на тот момент) и непотопляемый, ну и роскошный тоже. Оставался на плаву после попадания в неприятности, выиграл морской бой с немецкой подводной лодкой. Ходили шутки юмора, что если бы не Титаник, а Олимпик столкнулся с айсбергом. то: а) Затонул бы айсберг; б) Айсберг сам бы избежал столкновения и сбежал бы.

You can see her 2nd Class smoking room in the White Swan hotel in Alnwick, Northumberland in the UK. The Cutler museum in Sheffield, South Yorkshire has her 1st Class lounge wooden paneling and light fittings. Both are well worth walking through. It's the only way to walk through the interior of an Olympic class liner.

Why is it breathtaking? If the Titanic hadn’t sank nobody today would have ever heard of the White Star Line or the Olympic Class! Ex seaman.

sooo, the 4th funnel is a dummy funnel, but here its seen to smoke as much as the others.... I know the 4th did other things, but this doesnt look right
