Wandering Tokyo with Brompton #11 Sumida River
We went with Brompton from the beginning of the Sumida River to the mouth of the river. Starting from Akabane Station, we rode along the Sumida River's seawall from Iwabuchi Water Gate, the junction with the Arakawa River, to Asakusa, occasionally passing through towns such as Toshima and Horifune in Kita-ku, and Machiya in Arakawa-ku. From Asakusa, we took a water bus to Tsukiji, the mouth of the river, to enjoy a different view from the river. We disembarked at Hinode Pier and reached the goal at Hamamatsucho Station. We enjoyed our short trip in Tokyo.
隅田川の起点から河口まで、ブロンプトンとともに巡りました。まずは赤羽駅を出発して荒川との分岐点、岩淵水門から隅田川の護岸を走り、北区豊島や堀船、荒川区町屋など、ときおり街中に出ながら、浅草まで。浅草からは水上バスにのって、河口の築地まで、川の上からいつもとは違う景色を楽しみました。日の出桟橋で下船して、浜松町駅でゴール。都内の小旅行を堪能しました。

Thank you for checking. Basically, bikes cannot be brought into restaurants or malls, so We usually park them outside. However, there are occasionally places that accept folded Bromptons. We hope this helps! 😊

Congratulations on the video, it was excellent, Japan is a wonderful country, I hope to visit it one day. Here in Brazil there is an interesting movement regarding bikes in my city, which is in the interior, many people use them on a daily basis in their activities. So many familiar streets. Last year, I bought a Brompton in Japan and stayed for a month. After many previous visits, it was like my first time again. Brompton and Japan are made for each other. I miss riding there, around the cities and countryside. Thank you for the hit of nostalgia, and some motivation to return soon! I think I'll keep watching your videos :-)

Hello and warm greetings from Chan, Kampar. It is an interesting way to explore Tokyo and skip all the usual packed tourists spots! Your easy riding and observation of the Real Surroundings of Tokyo,is good! In Sept 1975,I had a 5 weeks stay in Tokyo and another 4.5months stay in Yokohama. Thank you for sharing. Ganbatte kudasai..( do your best in Japanese). I do not have so much money to buy a Brompton so I had to settle for a 360,6-speed model at a MUCHER price.
