I'm glad you enjoy them, and thank you! Happy to answer questions - indeed, I plan to make a video one of these days with a full explanation of what I'm doing while I'm doing it, to help with this kind of understanding. The clouds have a few effects, but they are mainly important as riders for an LGS salt stick that I equip before casting them. Salt makes enemy mobs passing through the cloud move extremely slowly. This is enormously helpful in managing groups of monsters who all aggro at once, giving you greater breathing room, and allows you to create chokepoints for picking off and immobilising enemies from a safe distance. Cloudkill is the best for this, as it doesn't impair visibility and does temporary con damage, reducing fortitude saves, which makes enemies easier to instakill. Acid Fog, like Solid Fog, slows enemies, which compounds the salt slow effect (I think - its efficacy in reaper seems to be reduced, and I'm not sure it stacks. But mobs running through salted Acid Fog do seem to move especially slowly. Might need testing to confirm this.) The other cloud I use is Mind Fog. Sometimes I put salt on it, but I usually just cast it with my main DC gear equipped. Even on a save, though, it softens up enemy will saves (-6 on success over -10 on failure); this is for the Symbol of Stunning I invariably place inside. It then also makes enemies more susceptible to mass hold and to Phantasmal Killer. The combined effect is a zone which greatly slows enemies, traps them in a stun, and reduces their saves while I pelt them with spells from afar.
