@@ktgmotorsports yeah its really simple once you somewhat know how to drift, it can easily save you in case of a crash

@jonathanruter1285 that turn is 1.5 G uphill, I just screwed up and turned in too abruptly.. the car was gone before I hit apex.. my brain just said.. don't go off left.. (it really sucks going off left on 5, 6a and b there) .. but yeah, some skid recovery lessons are on the list for the off-season

Yeah.. my turn in was way too abrupt and it was instantly loose, my mistake.. not the first time, wont be the last, but I do learn lessons every mistake.. ;)

@@ktgmotorsports I only test drove a stock GR86 and it is very tail happy. Without knowing your tire specs I can only imagine. The stock PS4’s wanted to slide out due to 215 with but I caught it quick. Didn’t even mean to slide 😂.

on the GR86/BRZ: Press and hold both forward skip and rewind skip buttons on the right side of the screen, press the right knob in twice. Opens a new menu. Go to camera, then camera settings

Yes, when we hit the curbing a tad wrong, it basically bounces the car left .. there's a section on the turn that off camber , and the car starts.a pretty severe oversteer.. if it starts tank slapping at all it ends up off track or in the inside wall.. it's why as soon as I knew I lost the car.. I just let it stop..

I actually had someone else tell me that as well, I needed to put the "view from a friend" in the description... =)

Hey thanks! Open Lapping days are pretty laid back, need a driver license and a safe car generally.. As far as competitive racing, you will need to be licensed by the sanctioning body.. An SCCA Novice Time Trails license is pretty simple to get if you've got a few track days under your belt, A novice license will allow you to run SCCA TT I have an intermediate SCCA license now. Now, the NASA licenses are much tougher to obtain. They require a progression though 4 levels of HPDE (High Performance Driving Experience) and check rides to advance to each level. A final check ride to apply for your TT license. Racing (wheel to wheel) licenses are a tad harder and require medical check, etc. A marked difference in licensing is.. when I get my NASA TT license, that will get me my SCCA Advanced pretty much automatically. I run in SCCA regional time trials in the T3 class and will be running next season in the NASA regional Time Trials in the TT5 class.

@ktgmotorsports Thanks for the reply. The new engine is in the Corvette and running, but I can't get it out to test drive till things melt off a bit. I'm hoping to get in some track days with it. Because I don't spend enough money on guns and obviously need another expensive hobby.

I really like tracking this car.. it's not bad.. brakes, a little suspension work and it's a decent TT5 car.

I race this thing every weekend out here. .. I run TT5 for NASA and T4 in SCCA time trials... I love the chassis and the car..

@@L86END oh you're good.. I run the entire course in 3rd, there's 2 spots i hit 4th and thats going in to turn 1 and going in to turn 9.. I try not to hit second except off turn 5 and 7... Unless i make a rookie mistake and bleed off too much speed.. (I'm a novice drover too.. always working on the driver mod) ...so if i downshifted on turn 8, it was a mistake.
