Man, I wish he still performed this version of the song. When I saw him in 2009 it was this (and it was awesome) but the two subsequent times he did a stripped down acoustic version. Still great, but this is the best.

Im going to have to say john mayers cover is better. I love william, but he can't project well. like, my absomlute FAVORITE part of the john mayer cover is where it builds up at the part where he wants to 'write her name' and then, johny boy is loud and dramatic, and just like awesome. what I like most about willy is the accents he gives on music, the accent drive me nuts. I love it. but like, he always sings in that low breathy whisper, he needs to BELT some lyrics out to me.

John Mayer didn't copy him or either did he. They just both have good taste. That's all.
