Sadly, by title, l only recall “Slide” and “Iris.” I’m betting that if l played this record again, I’d recall more songs. @ ~ I’m a rebel, like Johnny Yuma. I march to the beat of my own Drummy. I walk the thin line for me, where l can be all I want to be. My brain is in total harmony. Sailing on a sea of virility. I did it my way, by not taking the highway. Took the backroads, with my big load. Like a bomb, getting ready to explode. Don’t think small, stand tall, soon the mighty will be headed for a fall. If you had stuff to do over, would ya do it somewhat the same? Do you see yourself as a pawn in their game? Do what you like, like what you do. Add songs as you wish, they won’t have a clue. Turn that nine, into a ten. Jump back, spin ‘round, then do it again. Changing latitudes and too many platitudes. Too many adjustments and not enough attitude. Break out of seclusion and come to a conclusion. Pure and easy, is ever so breezy.

Kevin did Bruce dirty and it’s unforgivable. And yet, Bruce would still join him on stage. Bruce is being so gracious even though Kevin does not deserve it. Matt is a scab and should step aside. I’ve been a fan of Kevin and Bruce for 45 years, but I doubt Kevin could say anything that would justify his choice to ruin the end of Bruce’s career. The current line up does not sound better than ever. That is such an insult to Gary and all the past members who worked so hard to creat the sounds of REO. Matt can play well, but he can’t replace Bruce. This is all so insulting to the real fans who have been supporting this band for over five decades. I respect Neal for standing up for Bruce. No “Time for Me to Fly?” No “Sweet Time?” No “The Key?” No “ I Do’ Wanna Know?” No “Out of Season?!” All my Dave Fave “Wimp Rock” classics!!! C’mon, man! 🤦🏻 But seriously, Kev Cro’, you’re now an official member of “The Roland Club.” And dude, that’s a BAD club to be in. Turning on a band member for a money and power grab? I’m NOT down with that, Homie. Not cool, man. Not cool. You’re on Santa’s 🎅 NAUGHTY LIST, Cro’. No presents 🎁 for YOU under the tree, 🎄 🎵”you Dirty Dog! Chris, I respectfully disagree with your assessment that those solo records were the right move. All four members were just coming into money for the first time with each having their own camp telling them they didn't need the others. The LAST thing that fracture needed was four solo records saturating the marketplace with a "fixed" platinum status assigned to each, magnifying those irrational messages. We now know the Industry awarded performance based on albums SHIPPED, not sold. No one had ever dared tried something this insane and the move not only bankrupt Casablanca, but it caused the Industry to completely rework how they assess a record's performance. They were a colossal commercial failure that was hidden from the public for years. Collectively they only sold about 1.5 million copies which was the running performance for a single KISS album. So Casablanca was stuck with record stores returning 2.5 million unsold records. KISS was already a financial liability because their shows were so expensive and the tours were draining capital because the band members were all spending like there was no bottom. Plus their Japanese tour lost big money because they spent so much on flying a large assortment of the media around with them. Not to mention the cost of shipping the stage overseas. Between these costs hemorrhages and now the gamble and flop of the solo records, KISS had to have a hit on their next record to keep them afloat while Casablanca tried to hide this mess on the books with their sale to Polygram. KISS did not choose disco as their musical direction, they were instructed to do so, because Casablanca owned most of the disco stars of that day, and it was the only arm of their business generating revenue for them. KISS had to get in the black. But as history shows, the solo records, movie, and Dynasty album, completely rebranded them in the public's eyes. So whatever Bogart was trying to save on a company wide scale was doing so at the cost of feeding KISS to the wolves. So I think its financially clear that the solo records were the beginning of the end. We as fans can have our own opinions on what we like or don't, but from a business perspective KISS spiraled off the mainstream popularity grid once all of this was set into motion.

Great video. For me the top 4 albums are the Fish era lead ones. I’ve really tried but the Hogarth lead Marillion is quite boring and doesn’t have the same effect like the earlier material.

Yes actually did it before KISS did. Each of the FIVE members of Yes released solo albums after the Relayer album in 1974. However, they all came out on different days, unlike the four members of KISS. Most huge KISS fans I’ve ever come across think that Ace has the best of the four releases. Just like most Yes fans seem to prefer Chris Squire’s solo album the best. Cool show, lads! Merry Christmas! 🎄🎁 ~ Davey Cretin, from Cretin Classics.

@@daveycretin664 Tsk tsk! Ace has quite a far bit of good songs but plenty that do ZERO for me. Ozone? Speeding Back to my Baby? Eek but to be fair Paul does have his fair share of bad tunes on his as well. But he has the best overall song on Any Of these solo albums to me in Tonight You Belong to Me

Thanks for the shoutout, Joey! You da man! Cool show. After Pumpy, Pump, Pumpers, they kinda/sorta do go down the crapper. 🚽 Too many song doctors, 👩‍⚕️ 👨‍⚕️ focus groups/testing, lame 😒 @$$ 🍑 ballads, distance between Tyler and the rest of Boston Baked Bean 🫘 Bad Boys, etc. I’d have definitely picked “Kings and Queens” as my fave, since it’s my fave Aero tune. Shooz was on their 2 cd best of, but Don't Let It End wasn't. Tommy and JY have ruined the band and no amount of their revisionism will change how important Dennis was to the band.
